My Bridesmaid Cards

I am so excited to say, I am done with another project! My Bridesmaid cards!

I got the idea from just looking around at other bridesmaid cards. I liked the trifold card idea a lot! I wanted to be sure to use my colors for this, so I finally decided on pink, orange and green colors. Also known in 2011 pantone color pallet as Honeysuckle, Coral Rose, and Peapod. I plan to use blue here and there too, since it’s a tropical theme, and a destination wedding.

I used a gal I found named Rebecca (allurementsbyrebecca.com) on etsy and she designed my monogram. I used my monogram (designed by the wonderful Rebecca at www.allurementsbyrebecca.com) on the front, and inserted clipart from a word document to flourish the sides. I adjusted my page size to be 5x5 for the square tri fold card. I then printed each girls name under my monogram, and inserted the text Will you be, on the next page, and on the third page “My Bridesmaid” and a poem for each girl (which I found just searching Google). I then printed the 3 pages on metallic cardstock, cut them out, rounded each corner with a corner rounder from Archivers. I bought about 10 sheets of 12x12 metallic pink cardstock from Archivers. I measured a template on cardboard for 5 ½ x 11 then cut it out. I cut each piece of cardstock out to those measurements and folded them in half. To make 1 card, I used two of the pink cardstock and overlapped one of the panels (5 ½ x 5 ½ fold) this created a trifold. I designed mine to have both sides fold to the front. I then used my glue stick to glue the white cardstock with rounded corners onto the pink. On the cover I put a ribbon that was long enough to wrap around the back of the card and tie back on the front side, and glued that under the white cardstock with each girls name on it. After all 3 pages were glued to the pink trifold card; I put rhinestones on each page, and tied the ribbon. I bought 4 envelopes in Metallic Pink from Archivers to put the cards in also. They turned out beautiful!
