Ok after talking some friends about my wedding the question came up about who is in our bridal party. Well we are having 3 bridesmaids (including 2 Matron of Honor) and 3 Groomsmen (including 1 Best Man), a flowergirl and ringbearer. HOWEVER, I totally forgot about having ushers, hostesses and candle lighter. Even though the wedding facility has almost everything covered,but I think I will need ushers and hostesses. Are you all have ushers and hostesses?? What is the role is a hostess?

I saw it on someone else's page. They are flirty and color. Would love to have in pink and chocolate.

On Monday my FH and I met with several photographers for our wedding. We are trying to get the best deal. Nevertheless most of the photographers asked the question if we wanted to take pre ceremony pictures. I immediately said "No". They stated that this is common these days for the groom to see the bride before the actually wedding ceremony to take pictures.

Well I'm traditional and I don't think that I should see my groom before the ceremony on the day of the wedding, but my FH thinks that I'm just being superstitious, What are you ladies doing? Are you going see your groom before the ceremony for pre pictures or stick to tradition? I like idea to have pre pictures of us getting ready but not together.

Suggestions and/or thoughts?

SO last week my fiance' and I went to the Piedmont Room here in Atlanta to finally check out our wedding site. The place is gorgeous. They offer so much, the staff are very hands on. At that moment I realized that there is so much planning that needs to be done. So I've be consulting a dear friend who is a wedding planner, she really wants to help me plan our wedding. However, our ideas are soooooooo different. I really feel as if I can plan my own weddding, but my cousin said having a wedding coordinator on the day of your wedding is a MUST. There are things that I won't be able to do or handle. Question???? How many brides have wedding planners and are they really needed????

About 5 years ago one of my friend's invited me to her old college roommate's wedding in Washington DC. My friend's husband was unable to go due to his work schedule. Needless to say Dustin was a groomsmen, it was his best friend's wedding as well. The night before we were introduced and we briefly chatted, realized that we both were living in Atlanta, Ga. (FATE) I thought he was extremely handsome and very polite. Well the next day at the reception Dustin and I danced and partied the entire night, we had a blast, after the night we exchanged numbers and met up in Ga about a week later and have been together ever since.

I found a great way to incorporate damask in our wedding without it be overbearing. Luckily I've found damask in pink and brown.

Where is everyone going on their honeymoon? We have been checking out different places and the Sandals Resort in the Bahamas looks really relaxing and exciting.

I met with a wedding consultant this weekend and I expressed my desire to have an early afternoon wedding. Starting at 12:30pm. To be honest with you, I'd like to have things over early and get to the hotel by 6pm so my husband and I can enjoy ourselves. Getting done around 10 or 11 at night after an evening celebration sounds exhausting. Would you attend an early afternoon wedding? Should I have to take into consideration whether this time would be too early for my bridal party and guests?

So I haven't officially asked my 5 good friends to be in my wedding, so within the next week I will be sending my friends "would you be my bridesmaids cards". I wanted to do something original and this would totally catch them offguard but they will love it.

My FI owns his home and I live in an apartment. We got engaged in November and he just recently asked me to move in with him. We just pushed our wedding date back to save money. My lease is up in my apartment in two months and financially it would only make sense to move in with him.

However, I've never lived with a guy, primarily due to my parents' wishes and I never felt the need to really move in...plus I really enjoy my own space. However, we do flip flop night during the week and weekend and it can be frustrating with which house has what items. But I am a little apprehensive...Just wondering...how many brides out there are living or will be moving in with their FHs before tying the knot? Were you a little afraid? Is this normal to be nervous?

Just out of curiosity, how far in advance did you all start planning your wedding and did you already have the money saved for your wedding before you started your planning? Or are you paying for your wedding as you plan or your parents are paying?
Initially my FI and I were planning a 2008 wedding after only being engaged for 4 months but the money wasn't really there. So we decided to change our wedding date until next June 2009. We opened up a savings account strictly for our wedding. We are both contributing 40% of our monthly income to this account. My FI wants to have all of the monies saved before we start dishing any out. The good thing is that we will have time to plan our dream wedding and relish the idea of being engaged. I think this is best for us. What about you??

Hey what is everyone's future new last name? My name will be Fadaol-Washington but my FI is having problems with me hyphenating my lastname. Its not tradition in my culture to take on the husband's last name only the children. my mother's name is hyphenated as well, plus one of my oldest sisters, the other one didn't.
