Early Afternoon Wedding????
I met with a wedding consultant this weekend and I expressed my desire to have an early afternoon wedding. Starting at 12:30pm. To be honest with you, I'd like to have things over early and get to the hotel by 6pm so my husband and I can enjoy ourselves. Getting done around 10 or 11 at night after an evening celebration sounds exhausting. Would you attend an early afternoon wedding? Should I have to take into consideration whether this time would be too early for my bridal party and guests?

I think the timing would be okay as long as they know in advance it shouldnt be a problem. ~Happy Planning~

12:30 PM might be a little early but like sweep said if they know in advance everyone can plan whatever hair makeup accordingly.

If I got an invite that said 12:30 I wouldn't dismiss it just because of the time. People should come to your wedding no matter what time of day.

I was in a wedding last summer and the ceremony started at 11:00am so no 12:30 isn't too early at all.

I don't see a problem our wedding is at 130PM. I think people will show up no matter what. I don't want to be partying until 2 in the morning either and I don't think most of our guests would either, its a wedding celebration not a club

I'm having my wedding start at 12 pm, and no one in my bridal party or my family has a problem with it.  I definitely want to have more time at night for just alone time with my new hubby.

I would actually love to attend an earlier wedding b/c then I could have the rest of the day to get more of my stuff done. It also sounds like a perfect plan b/c then you can settle down and have some time with your man after a busy day. My ceremony is early (around 10:00 am) but my reception is at 6pm b/c of planning around family and everyone, so I almost had an early reception too!

Hmm... I think people who really want to witness you all get married will be there at 8am. Tom and I are getting married in the Caribbean at sunset. Its just going to hot during the day... however, if we were getting married in the states I would do a early afternoon wedding and reception as well. Good Luck!!!!

I'd go to an early afternoon wedding.

I'm getting married at 10:30am.

If the guests care about you two as a couple, they'll go.

we are having a 5pm wedding. Its really your choice. 1230 isn't bad at all. just make sure you have everything done

I'm thinking about an early afternoon wedding as well. To me it just makes more sense and I think it's plenty of time to get everyone ready.
