Our Wedding
December 5th 2009
Here is a collection of pictures from our wedding in December. Our colors were gold and red.
I wore the light gold Maggie Sottero Victoriana gown, and my bridesmaids wore red taffeta gowns. My husband wore a black tuxedo with a gold vest and the groomsmen had red vests. Our wedding ceremony was held in a beautiful historical church and our reception was at our private country club. Enjoy the pictures! |

My wedding band is in yay!
I am so excited!! My wedding band is in! This is the 3rd ring we have tried and it finally works!! My engagement ring is a one of a kind piece so there were no bands that went with it and because of the unique design a straight band did not work. I guess it is true that the 3rd time is the charm, because this one is perfect!

The Proposal
Our fairytale
We have the best story of how we met and then later got engaged. I actually met him at my sisters wedding to one of his best friends. The wedding was in Philly, and it was my first time ever being there, little did I know I would be there a lot more in the moths to come!
We were at the reception and I was formally introduced to Dan but then had to run of to do MOH stuff. I kept my eye on him that night though, and people kept telling me that he was looking at me too and I should go dance with him. I was too shy so I didn't go over. Well little did I know, people were telling him to dance with me too! Finally my mom went up to him and said "You know, if you ask that pretty girl over there to dance, I know she will say yes." Thank goodness for my mom because the next slow song he asked me to dance and we have been together ever since!! Fast forward about a year and a half. Dan had moved from Philly to Pittsburgh to be with me, he got a job at a law firm and things were going great. On November 11th 2007 I was in my office and some music was on...I don't know to this day how he made this happen I guess it was fate but our song came on and about 10 seconds later he walks in with the suit on that he met me in! He told me that it was his lucky suit because he met me in it and that had been the best day of his life. And he said that he hoped it would be lucky again for tonight. He got down on one knee and asked if I would make him the happiest man in the world and marry him and of course I said yes!! |

Hi everyone! My name is Molly, I am new on here. I am getting married in less than 4 months and I am so excited! Pretty much everything is planned with just a few things left to do!
The dress I am wearing is the Maggie Sottero Victoriana dress and I LOVE it! Because I can look a bit washed out in white and because my colors are gold and red, I chose the light gold but now I am getting a little nervous that I might regret not going the traditional white route. Has anyone worn the light gold to their wedding? If so could I see pictures and could you please tell me if you liked it or not? I would really appreciate it! Thanks so much!! |
