I've been tying to come up with something other than a candy or cupcake buffet. I know, I know..the horror..lol. But, there is going to be a lot of kids there and I personally don't want them running around with chocolate faces eating tons of candy and I don't want people to have to patrol the table either.

I did come across a POPCORN bar???? They have every flavor imaginable...really. They even have Merlot, lemon drop, beer, jalapeno ranch and different chocolate cover popcorn flavors as well. So it can be unique AND color coordinated :)

My only problem is popcorn at MY wedding?? Is that too terribly tacky??

Another option would be to have a SMORE bar. It has some chocolate but not like the cupcake or candy buffet would.

mmm I love popcorn and I love smores.  I've seen the smores thing done and it looks pretty cool but I haven't seen the popcorn.

I would loooove to see popcorn at someone's wedding I dont think it is tacky at all.  I mean I'm sure it could be done tacky but so could anything.

I think that both ideas are really cool.  I would love to try some different flavored popcorn.

I love the popping with joy!  I have done the smore thing at someones wedding at it was super cute.  I did toppings for ice cream, which worked well and everyone loved.  I don't think any type of yummy food you give people is tacky...they all just love it and think it is super original.

I did both, the popcorn and the s'mores bar! I say go for it! And NO, they are not tacky! Hope this helps!

YAY! Thanks for the comments and the feedback girls. I feel a lot better about doing the popcorn bar now. Its safer than having the smores and we don't need to have an attendant there cause they can just serve themselves. I can even make some cone shaped cups in pretty stationary for them to eat out of??
@nerdygirl...the hard part will be choosing the flavors! They even have Smores flavored popcorn with caramel popcorn, chocolate, graham crackers and marshmallows...lol.

And yes hashbrown..a little less MESSY. I can just see my kiddos wiping chocolate all over my dress if I did the cupcake or candy bar :@

@kkbride..your smore set up was beautiful :) Your popcorn bags were pretty too! The popcorn won't really be a favor but just a munching station.

LOVE POPCORN! i have also done this for someone and it was super cheap!!!! Everyone loved trying the different crazy flavors...

Yes ceccard1! I had priced it before hand and this is definitely a cheaper way to go  :D and I love that its a self serve station. With the Smores..I think I would have to have an attendant to make sure the little ones aren't playing around with the burners.
