Since Olivia was born our wedding plans have been a bit sketchy. Financially, we are no where near ready to have a full-blown wedding.. and really, deep down I don't want a tiny wedding and a backyard reception. That's just not me.
Sooo... after much discussion Rob and I have decided we are STILL going to get married this June at a private ceremony in Mexico. Then in two years (June 9th, 2012) we will have a vow-renewal with a big ceremony and the dance-party reception I really want.
The past few days I've been surfing wedding blogs and websites gathering more ideas and it's gotten me more excited about planning again and I've started looking for a neat place to have a engagement shoot. My sister is my photographer so we're lucky that she'll go wherever we drag her. lol
I think I've decided to do a little bit of it in a park in the city (we live in St. Louis) and most of it at the City Museum. The City Museum is a great place mostly geared towards kids, which is perfect because I did want to involve our son (3) and our daughter (<1) in the photos as well.
They have lots of colorful places and interesting backgrounds, plus a roof-top display. AND they are open till 1 am on the weekends and you get to explore in the dark, which could be fun for some neat pictures as well.
I also found the perfect dress (last photo). I'm going to find some bright red shoes to wear with it. Yeah! I'm so excited!
