Hi,
Well it's very hard cause I have two month to loose some weight before I order my dress. Then I have another 6-7 month to loose more weight. So I am on the same boat as you. But I was doing Weight Watchers I am still doing it. But I have lost 4 lbs in two weeks and that's normal loosing 1-2lbs a week. BUT then I also just ordered the 30 day shred. So I am excited on how it works. But I will keep you posted!
Good luck and happy planning! :)

Wehave a 20 min rule in our house. Serve smaller portions then no second helpings for 20 minutes. That way u give your stomach time to feel full. Also how about offer to walk dogs for friends after work for an hour? Or walk for 40 and run for 20, all with a dog? They are such good company :)
how about during every commercial in tv you do so many situps and arm curls. That way u do reps every 15 minutes whole "relaxing" :)
good luck!!

I started drinking lots of water. I rarely drink anything but water. I try to stay busy and watch what I eat. I just passed my first weight goal and I'm working on my next one. I don't tell myself that I can't have things though bc then I will set myself up to fail. If I want something that isn't "very healthy" then I have smaller portions and limit myself to having it maybe everyother week if not just once a month. Walks are a great idea also. When I clean around the house I turn on music and dance around as I'm doing it. I'm sure you are going to look great no matter how much weight you lose! Good Luck!

Hi, I tried the 30 day shred and I hated it LOL but then again, I'm quite lazy. I've been doing slim in 6 and I already lost 2 inches of my waist. The best thing to do is cut some calories and portion control. Also drink a lot of water, I drink up to 4 bottles a day. It helps out a lot with filling yourself up too. Well Good luck!

You could try

www.sparkpeople.com

It has a food tracker, exercise tracker and food plans. There's also a whole online community!

I tried it once and lost 14 lbs!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Weight Watchers Weight Watchers Weight Watchers. I highly recommend it. When I followed the program I lost 30lbs in 6 months without working out. The biggest thing is being accountable.

If you'd like, because I need help being accountable to someone, we could motivate eachother, talk to the other about what we're eating, how we're doing, struggles, etc. I'm 5'2 and am looking to lose about 20lbs as well.

Let me know! My email is berlies@mac.com - AIM virg084

we've all heard this time and time again and yet not a lot of people seem to take it seriously; watch what you eat and exercise. in 3 months i lost 20lbs by writing down everything i ate and getting my butt into the gym 5 days a week for less than an hour each time. writing down what you eat makes you realize and acknowledge exactly what you are putting in to your body and once you look at the junk you are allowing yourself to eat it makes you kinda sick. before you eat something ask yourself how it is going to benefit you. do you need it? will it make you healthier/feel better? is it fuel for your body or just junk?

second, butt into the gym. 20 min of cardio and lift some weights. don't have a gym? walk outside, take a little jog, go up and down the stairs a bunch of times, do jumping jacks, skip rope. i used to use jars of spaghetti sauce for weights before i bought hand weights and they worked just as good. there are a million youtube videos out there for working out. find one that you like and stick with it. i'm doing the 30 day shred right now because i needed a jolt of change and i really like it.

i kinda sound like a weird fitness freak right now, but i'm really not. i still have days where i mess up and literally eat an entire bag of chips or don't go to the gym. but one day i had that lightbulb moment where i realized that i got myself fat and i needed to get myself thin with no more EXCUSES and the way to do that is the way they've been telling us for years: be smart about what you eat and exercise. simple as that. good luck!

I use sparkpeople.com to track my food and work outs. I also try to stay very active.

Ever thought about biking to and from work?? Might be a nice way to get some exercise in!

Worked for me!

good luck!!

I would suggest the WII Fit! I have lost around 20 LBS with it. There are a lot of fun games that focus on a variety of exercises. There is cardio, strength training, balance, etc. I have a lot of fun doing these games and by the time you reach 30 mins, you feel great and it didn't feel like you were playing games for that long! My favourite exercise is the step one, it gets complicated and fast paced! I usually do that one like 3 or 4 times lol

I find that if exercise isn't fun, you wont stick with it. Same thing with changing your diet. You still need to make your food interesting and flavourful. Counting calories is a great way to track exactly how much you are eating and the ways that you can improve. Rewarding yourself now and again is a great way for you to feel goof about your lifestyle change but not giving up some things that you love!

Hey just make sure your drinking 8 glasses of 8oz's of water per day, watch your salt intake, no chips, low carb, up fruits and veggies, the water is the big thing cut youself to 1 cup of coffee per day, I did that I lost 10 pds in 2 weeks.  Its a good start, the cabbage soup diet is a good start too.  Google it

ohh the cabbage soup diet worrrrks lke a charm-and fast!! BUT, its super hard 2 stick to. If you can eat nothing but veggies one day then go for it.
the soup u can eat whenever and it seems lke u just lose wight jst by eating it!! and its sooooo good!! sounds gross but its great. ive been on that diet many times.
good luck.
i just had a baby 9 wks ago and i had gained 45 lbs! ive lost all 45 lbs! but i need 2 lose another 8-10 to get to my goal.
I've just been n the gym 4x/wk doing CARDIO & weights. i run 4 miles. if it doesnt hurt its not working. i eat a side salad for lunch every day & a parfait. ppl think just bc they r eating salads its healthy-WRONG. stay AWAY from the RANCH. i use balsamic vinigerette. its really good. and if u r going to use rach-do the low fat & dont pour it on ur salad! dip ur salad in the dressing cup/bowl. u use WAY less. one more thing-STAY AWAY FROM THE CESEAR SALADS! one big plate of cesear salad/dressing is over 1,000 calories . [saw it on biggest loser lol] the cesear dressing is TERRIBLE for you .
TRY A SPIN CLASS!! they r super fun & KICK ur butt!!

ive been on the scarsdale diet for 1 week and a half. My first week i lost 10 lbs. its very easy. your supposed to lose up to 15 lbs in the 2 weeks of the diet. go to scarsdalediet.com and the menu is on there. then after the 2 weeks of being on this you can go on the keep trim diet to keep that loss then back on the scarsdale diet to loose more weight. dont go on the scarsdale diet for 4 weeks back to back though. skip a week in between. it works for me. my whole fam is on it and we feel great!! oh so very THIN!
