IT'S A.....
So we went to UC Baby today, and found out we're having a little girl!!!!
We were in absolute shock since we've been saying "he" for the past five and a half months, but we are so happy! So that means I'll have to find a cute little dress for our baby girl to wear at our wedding next year! :) |

We're Expecting!!!!
WOW - So its been quite a few months since I've been on this site, but theres a good reason; I've been a little preoccupied.
WE'RE EXPECTING!!!! :D That's right! Theres a bun in the oven, and he/she is due May 7th, 2011! I am currently 23 weeks 1 day pregnant! :) The first four months were pretty tough because I was nauseous EVERY minute of EVERY day, but it went away around 16 weeks! So now I'm enjoying being pregnant, and pretty impatient I might add! We will find out in TWO days if our little bean is a he or a she! I CAN'T WAIT!! :D As for wedding-talk, we mailed a few of our save the dates with Christmas cards last month, and we'll start sending the rest of them in the next month or two! AND we have our venue booked at Glendenning Golf Course ( http://www.glendenninggolf.ca/ ) it is absolutely beautiful!! As well as we have our photographer booked as well! Her name is Maria Hillier, and she is amazing! ( http://www.mariahillierphotography.com/index2.php#/home/ ) :) Anyway the next post will be what our little one is.. so stay tuned! :) |

SO.. I'm looking for advice on where to find save-the-date cards online for cheap??
I've been to a few sites, but I cant find anything thats worth looking at because they're damn expensive! Not to be cheap, but when you have over 220 people invited, it gets expensive! Any website suggestions? I'm looking for deep purple and pale blue for the cards.. Thanks Ladies! |

Wedding Reception
Getting things organized
So after being in complete wedding-mode after getting engaged, the past month or two I kinda toned it down.
But now its time to really get crackin' on the wedding planning! Last week, Chad and I went home to Newfoundland for a visit. We decided to go to a few places to look for the spot to have our reception. One spot, called Glendenning Golf, has always been on my mind, as it is absolutely beautiful, but it is quite expensive so I knew it would never be the spot. We decided to go to Glendenning first just so I know what I was missing out on, but that was a mistake. We walked in, and I was in awe. It was absolutely beautiful, and the people there were great! As we left, I took a pamphlet on weddings anyway. But every location we went to after that, I was comparing to Glendenning, and nothing was as nice! We went back with Chads parents, and my Mom, and they agreed it was beautiful, but expensive. The woman there asked what date we had chosen, and I said we were thinking about July 14th, 2012, and after checking her computer, she said that is the only date available in 2012 between April and September! Needless to say, we booked our wedding for Glendenning Golf after his parents agreed to help pay for half!! I was SO ecstatic! Also, when we were home, myself, my mother and Chad's mother went to the bridal shop where I found the three dresses I loved. Since my mother wasn't there when I tried on the dresses, she came with us to see them. But there was a new arrival, and I absolutely fell in love with it!!! Its beautiful!! I do need some advice though. Out of the three from my previous posts, and this one dress, I absolutely love this one! What do you ladies think?? |

 Dress#1: Front. Really loved the detail on the front of this dress! Dress#1: Back. Absolutely love the back of this dress! Its so sleek! Dress#2: Front. I absolutely LOVE this dress! I didnt want to take it off! I had to hold in the sides to show the sides though because it was a little big! Dress#2: Back. Not really in love with the back of this one, but I'm sure it would look better if it were in my size!
Right where my fingers are there was a broach, similar to the one in the front, th Dress#3 - My MIL loved this dress, but I didnt like the top. I prefer a sweetheart! Dress#3 - I really didnt like how the back of this dress cut across my bum!       |

How to choose a theme?
I've never really thought about it... What theme do I want for our wedding?
I have my colors picked out; teal with accents of purple and brown.. But I have no clue what "theme" to choose.. Actually I've only heard of having a theme for your wedding since joining this site, and watching some wedding shows. Its not really that popular where I'm from.. Is it just a US thing? Anyway, I have NO idea what theme I want. I've heard of people having a 50's style wedding, or a "vintage" wedding, or fairytale etc. All I know is I want our wedding to be very elegant with color. Does that make sense? What kind of theme am I supposed to go with?? HELP!!! |

Happy Valentines Day, Ladies!!
Just thought I'd say Happy Valentines Day to all you ladies of WBC!
One year ago today, I kissed my fiance for the first time! Yes, I know we've only been together a year, but we've know eachother for years now. And it just feels right! I know its hard to find the right gift for the man in your life, but this year I bought him a card, and made these really cute Valentines Day Coupons at http://www.romancestuck.com/custom/love-coupons/love-coupon-creator.htm . Some examples were: "This coupon entitles you to a free backrub", "This coupon entitles you to one favor. Anything, anytime, anywhere.", and "This coupon entitles you to a lifetime of my unconditional love." I thought it would be cute, and he really liked the sexy ones ;) Anyway, I know planning for a wedding is stressful, but don't forget to take a breather and thank your FH for his patience with you.
