Decoration HELP!!!
The color of my wedding is yellow. The issue that I am currently facing is the reception decoration. Which colors will work best with yellow? Should I have yellow around the chairs (the bow) or a different color? Which color shoudl the flowers be? It's an indoor, evening reception....Someone please help!!!

I have seen pictures of white and yellow weddings that were just gorgeous!  You don't necessarily need another color.  White and yellow just looks so fresh and lively!

Hey I was married June 22nd and the colors of my wedding were yellow and green. The main color was yellow, but green seemed to mix with it really well. For my center pieces I used yellow gerber daisies and some twigy straw, really simple but beautiful. Then, (a great idea of mine) I tied a piece of twine around the vases and used tiny clothes pins to attach a black and white picture of my husband and I from when we were dating and our engagement pics. Each table had a different one...Oh and for my bridesmaids I used a bunch of different yellow flowers. And the nice things about using yellow, if your wedding is outside (?) is it is a very natural color and nature is totally on your side, another reason I used green. Enjoy planning, I had SO much fun!

Ok...so I just read the rest of your blog. And considering it is inside, I agree with Ashleyw44. White would be pretty. But green is very much  an accompaniment to yellow. And to be clear I was talking about a sage type lighter green NOT John Deere green. Happy Wedding!

Hi, I'm getting married in August 2008 and my wedding colors are pale yellow and a deep royal blue and they really look "evening" and very classic together. I'm using a pale yellow as more of an accent and the deep royal blue as the base. For my reception, we're using deep royal blue tablecloths with ivory/yellow flowers (hydrangeas). My bridesmaids have pale yellow dresses with deep royal blue sashes and will have deep blue hydrangea bouquets. I'm having an evening wedding, though both the ceremony and reception will be outside instead of indoors. Hope this helps!

Hi!! just like you I'm planning my wedding for July 12 2008, and my colours are pretty much the same as yours. My main colour is a Wasabi green and through out my wedding I'm doing touches of yellow. I had my reception decorator put it all together for me and the idea came out great.
