Wedding Decoration
He doesn't like red anymore?!!!!

So last night FH decides that he doesn't like red and has never liked red -_- I've spent almost 2 months getting my ideas and things together to actually showcase the red!

Our theme is kinda old hollywood/harlem renaissance and I thought the black, red, ivory and silver just fit that so well! It took everything for me not to hit him lol So now I have to think of another color to complement the others. I was thinking purple since I love that color anyway but since we're getting married in the fall, wouldnt that be considered a spring color??

This happened to me also, im a little sad because i did all the planning for my yellow and damask theme for him to say i dont like yellow. Then he picks out fuchsia and I am ok with that (at first) but looking at the colors look more like a birthday party and not a wedding, so we will have to compromise and fast! Good luck to you.

I totally understand where you are coming from too girl! Mine also changed his mind..and from someone who doesn't have an opinion mostly. First, go thru what colors you both like  and/or are willing to compromise on. Then take your color combos and search web pics until you find 'the' one!

Purple is my favorite color. And I will tell you this.. if it's a color you both can agree on, use it! Don't even worry about that it's fall.

First off...we live in Chicago and you already know we can hit the 80's in Oct! LOL! Plus everybody doesn't have to use 'fall' colors in fall.

Secondly...It's your day! Who cares if it's fall, winter,spring or summer. Find your vision and go with it! And when you tell ppl about your colors, or anything about your wedding for that matter, they will put their 2 cents in no matter what,just remember to ignore the nay sayers!

Totally agree with ksteward.... its ur day!!! Do it ur way!!! You can also use purple in fall. Ive seen many beautiful jewel tone fall weddings. Deep purple with magenta has become popular and looks great. Or even monochromatic deep purple with lighter purples looks great!!

Thanks you guys! We decided to go ahead with the purple and just have a few different shades of it. I was pretty upset when out of the blue he says he didnt want red, this whole process has pretty much been whatever I want and NOW he has an opinion lol And Ksteward you're right, Chicago is so unpredictable, hopefully I get that 80 degree weather! lol

hey lady! I am a fall bride, and purple is my signature color. purple is definitely a color you can use in the fall... and you can use deep hues of purple like plum or eggplant if you want like I'm doing or use something vibrant and popping to make a bold statement!  Good luck!
