Expecting our first at the end of October!

We found out we were expecting our first little one in very early March. The morning before we found out, I was with my family and my brother asked me if I was pregnant. I told him no, but then I started to wonder. When I got home the next day, I just decided to take a home pregnancy test. I hadn't missed my period yet and the only thing that was even the slightest bit weird was how tired I had been lately. The test was positive! I couldn't believe it. We had only been trying for one month and wham we were pregnant! I woke my husband up (who worked third shift at the time) and showed him the test. It took him a moment and then the light went on: a smile slowly crept along his face. He wanted to know for sure so we made an appointment ment for about an hour later to have a clinic run a pregnancy test. They said we were about 4 weeks when we found out.

We talked about our prenatal provider a lot and decided to go with a homebirth midwife. I found ours about 2 weeks later and we have been going to her ever since. I have run into a lot of criticism for our decision to do a homebirth because it is not a mainstream choice.

We are currently 16 weeks pregnant and I am barely showing! We find out the sex of the baby in 4 weeks and I really, really, really cannot wait!!!

You know, a lot of women are choosing to do home births now. So long as you're prepared and working with a professional, I think it's a good option.

I'm so excited for you guys! Wow a month and conception? Wowie! Good for you guys! Awww, we are having another WBC baby girls! I think the homebirth is great! I had 3 children myself and I think that is a wonderful idea. Especially in the tub birth. It relaxes your muscles better too. I almost had the 2nd baby in my tub at the hospital. I was showering with back labor and the nurse asked me did I want a bath instead. I accepted and 1/2 hour later, they checked me in the water and she said I was fully surfaced at 9 1/2 centimeters. I went from 6 to 9 1/2 centimeters in 1/2 hour, but the water was excellent!

Congratulations on your first born, I know ya'll super excited. It's nothing wrong with having a homebirth, ya'll do what is right for ya'll and most of all what is most comfortable because at the end its your final decision

lucky you! I got pregnant real quick after the wedding, I am sure it was on the honey moon and now I have a beautiful 4 month old baby girl!
