Accessories
Shoes, jewelry...
Seriously, how gorgeous is that first pair of earrings?
I also love #2 but I'm afraid they might be a little shorter than what I'm looking for. The website says they're only .75 inch. They look longer than that, don't they? For my shoes, I know that I don't want strappy sandals...and my dress can not be hemmed due to the beading at the hem (says the bridal shop) so I'm committed to 2.5 inch heels. I love #1 but they are 2.75 inch heels so that's a no-go...which makes one very sad bride. So I'll be buying Option #2 which are 2.5 inches and still very beautiful. :) |

Flower Girl
For our beautiful baby girl...
Here's the flower girl dress that our baby girl will be wearing...I think the fuschia sash will look so pretty with the fuschia bouquets that the bridesmaids and I will be holding!
I can't believe she'll be almost 2 years old when we get married! She will be the flower girl along with my youngest sister who is 5! They are going to be so adorable walking down together! *Sorry about all of the baby pictures...I'm a PROUD Mommy!* |

Wedding Hair Style
Some styles that I love!
OK, I thought I wanted my hair in an updo...but I like the last two photos a LOT...and I feel like they're more "me".
The only problem is that I'm not sure if my hair will come out like these pictures because my hair doesn't like to cooperate...EVER! I think I like Mandy Moore & Sarah Michelle Gellar the best so far :) |

Wedding Dress
We bought my dress!
*UPDATE*
Well, I've got some good news and some bad news! The bridal store called me today to tell me that they called Casablanca and they can make my dress with a sweetheart neck, YAY! The bad news...they said it's going to be atleast March or maybe APRIL before it arrives! I was figuring maybe 4 months at the most...but SIX or SEVEN months?! Thank god I started looking immediately and found something after only a few weeks! *ORIGINAL POST* Well, I had an appointment today to try on some beautiful Enzoani dresses at a local bridal shop. They looked terrible on me and my heart was broken. Then my sister / maid of honor found this dress and I decided to try it on. I'm in head-over-heels in love with this dress. The picture on their website do no justice for it. I would NEVER have picked out this dress had I seen it online or in a magazine, but it's just so beautiful in person. OH! I almost forgot...it has a "soft" sweetheart neckline. They're going to make it a normal sweetheart for me...it's going to be so gorgeous! So glad I can check one thing off my list! YAY! |

Wedding Reception
A Country Club Ceremony & Reception
I was about 17 or 18 when this Resort & Country Club was first built.
Ever since I laid my eyes on it I've been saying "that's where I will get married". Last weekend my fiance, mom and I went to meet with the wedding coordinator and she gave us a tour of the ballrooms and ceremony areas. To my dismay, they don't do ceremonies on Saturdays (only receptions) so we are forced into choosing a Friday night or Sunday wedding. We chose Friday, August 14th. They do a 7 day "courtesy hold" with no money down so we need to decide by this weekend if this is definitely where we want it. Easy answer. This place is so beautiful! I LOVE the ceremony "trellis" area all lit up at night! |

Ask a Question
Tacky?
HELP!!!!
I'm having a horrible time trying to decide the color scheme for my wedding! My flavor of the week is Platinum. I do want to incorporate a little bit of pink into my wedding so I'd like to have bright pink bouquets. Do you think I'll look back in 20 years and say "OH MY! THAT WAS SO TACKY, WHAT WAS I THINKING?" I need your honest opinions! Thanks in advance! xoxo |

Candy Buffet
What My Dreams Are Made Of!
Okay, okay...I know EVERYONE in the world is doing a candy buffet at their reception now...and I normally don't like to follow along with what everyone else is doing.
However, we have a 1 year old daughter and I have three younger sisters...two of which are 5 & 10, therefore, inevitably there will be children at our wedding and I need to do SOMETHING to keep them happy for the entire night! I was also thinking about doing a Candy Apple Buffet instead, since we are having an October wedding I thought this might be a little more "festive". But on the downside...this could be VERY VERY messy for little kids. Or maybe just a good old-fashioned Chocolate Fountain with fruit and cookies, etc. to dip? Aah! I'm going to go crazy, there are too many decisions! Perhaps I will just stick with the Candy Buffet. It's much prettier on the table, won't be so messy and we can have a big selection. Photos to the left are some of my favorite Candy Buffet pictures :) Is it lunch time yet? All of this candy talk is killing me! |

Wedding Flowers
An Alternative To Peonies?
After visiting with a friend over the weekend who recently got married herself, I was pretty bummed to hear that Peonies are only in season from May-June.
After doing a little research, I found that there are lots of alternatives to Peonies, most of them being in the rose family. Let me also explain to you that I HATE typical roses, but these are absolutely gorgeous! Photos to the left are: Peony, Cabbage Rose, Abraham Darby Rose, Juliet Rose, David Austin Rose Decisions, decisions! |

Save the Dates
I Love Them!
I just found these save the dates today and I am in love.
I like the idea of incorporating his proposal under the tree in the park into them. :) I'm not a big fan of the font they used in the photo, I'd like something a little more simple and more importantly, legible! Thankfully there is a giant list of other fonts to choose from, so I attached one that I thought would work best. These are just too darn cute! |
