Stagette was a blast!
My stagette was this past saturday and I had so much fun! my sister (MOH) did such an amazing job. It was perfect, nothing too crazy and no negative attention. I just wanted a fun night with the girls and thats what I got :)

30 days! still so much to do!
we are one month from the big day now and I can't make up my mind if we are in good shape or not! one day I think we've got a lot done and the next I am panicking about all the things we still have to do!
We have our final meeting at the reception hall tomorrow night to sort out the rest of the details for the bar, food, tables etc. I have my hair trial and dress fitting # 2 on Friday, my bachelorette saturday and shower next Wednesday. I have ordered our water bottle labels and parasols which should arrive next week. We will then have to put 96 labels on bottles and paint Thank You on the parasol. We purchased an arbor for the outdoor ceremony that needs to be put together. I still need to finish the bridesmaids gift bags, buy or make a cardbox, buy or make a guestbook, sort out ceremony music, plan the rehearsal dinner and put together my day of emergency kit. I think that's it, I hope that's it!!! we have already attended one of the 4 weddings we have this summer, we have one more June 13th, then ours July 4th and then another in September. looking forward to peace and quiet come the fall! |

Wedding Dress
First fitting :)
I LOVE LOVE LOVE my dress!! I was really nervous to go for my first fitting because when I ordered it in January, my measurements said I should be a 14 but I ordered a 12 anyways. It fits!!!! It even has to be taken in in the bust. I have 15 more lbs to lose so it doesn't look tight across my gut and I need to tone my back and arms but I feel a lot better knowing it fits and that all my hard work (down 32 lbs since November) has paid off! hurray!!! I definitely need a tan though! I'm so pale!!

had to fire the DJ!!!
so we had our stag and doe this past weekend. we let my future brother in law hire his friend from work as the DJ and we booked him for the wedding as well. The guy was a complete loser! thank goodness we found out before the wedding! He showed up late, all his music was on cds which is rare these days with digital media, and the cds skipped all night long. He didnt play songs that were requested multiple times and he had no people skills whatsoever. The kicker is that he drank our alcohol all night long and when everyone cleared out at 1:30, he stayed and partied with our groomsmen until 5am, playing music and drinking our booze!! obviously I'm not impressed with our 4 groomsmen either but I can't fire them lol. That DJ will NOT be playing at our wedding. So glad we didn't pay him for both up front!
I found a new DJ today, a little more expensive but I know this company will be professional and engaging with my guests. EVerything is digital and we (guests too) can even go online and make requests before the wedding. Lesson learned!! |

Stag and Doe
this weekend!
I can't believe our stag and doe is already here!! these types of parties are big in the country where my fiance is from and ours is kicking off "stag and doe season" lol
sounds like we will have a huge turnout! I'm nervous and excited :) we have great prizes including a Wii and a WiiFit. there will be food, a lot of booze of course, and a lot of dancing! the dj is booked, decorations are done and we made t-shirts this weekend. The shirts have a pic of a caricature we had done in Florida last Spring and our titles on the back (Best Man, Bridesmaid etc) I love how they turned out! We ironed everything on ourselves :) Saturday can't get here soon enough! |

my mom and I worked on the centrepieces over the weekend and the turned out great! we are using silk gerberas and I think they look very real. I'm definitely pleased with the quality.
