What are you serving???
What kind of alcoholic beverages are you offering? My venue allows me to bring alcohol but I don't what to bring.... Help! TIA

Clarification- My venue provides the bartender, mixes, glasses, etc. I just have to bring the alcohol. Thanks for the input. What about qty. if I have about 100 people coming. Only about 50 will drink.

I guess it depends on how "black tie" your wedding is.  At my venue they are serving bottled beer, as well as top shelf liquor.  Some people may think beer at a wedding is tacky - but if that's what people drink!!  I would probably bring an assortment of liquors and I guess beer if that is what your guests would drink.

Our venue only permits soft alcohol- beer, wine & champagne. So that's what'll be served! We'll have a selection of beer & wine, and everyone will get the same champagne for the toast. I'll probably be downing the beer all night since we can't bring in cointreau to do mimosas with the champagne.

Im not having any signature drinks but the bar will be free and also as we are all staying in the resort where we get married we are all staying all inclusive anyway!

House liquors! Get cases of regular alcohol - your basic liquours that are required for mixed drinks i.e. vodka, gin, peach schnapps, cognac. then just get soda's (COSTCO,BJ's, Sam Club).
If you are set on beer get 1-2 kegs w/ a tap.
Get a friend whose familiar with bartending and there you go your own Open Bar.

we are serving beer from our local brewing company & wines only. we have decided to completely cut out a full bar due to some family issues both religious & recovering alcoholics that will be guests.

Our venue only allows beer & wine (no red, as it might stain the carpets). It's a historic victorian house so there can't be any stains. We will most likely get beer & white wine & don perignon for the toast.

Thanks for the kind words re: broken engagement but it still doesn't make it any easier.  I really don't know what to do anymore.  He was so much a part of me for so long...

Maybe have a bring your own bottle and then supply the beer.  That's what we are doing, BUT... we are also having ours at a legion hall.  It's a little easier to it that way.
