Ask a Question
Where are you going on your honeymoon?

FH and I are thinking about taking a 5 day caribbean cruise for our honeymoon. But, we have never been on a cruise before and I have a few concerns. #1 Sea sickness and #2 are they fun? If any of you ahve been on a cruise please let me know what you thought of it and I want to know where you ladies are going on your honeymoon!!

I have never been on a cruise but I have heard great things about couples who have! I personally can't do ships or boats. I get seasick too, but I hear the sea sickness is a lot less common on huge cruise ships. I think a cruise is a great cost effective option for couples that want to go to the Carribean because you get to see a little bit of everything!

FH and I are going to St.Lucia. I loved St.Lucia because of the rainforests and he loved it because of the fishing and volcano! I've heard great things about St.Lucia so I'm really excited!

I have been on a cruise. It was not a fun cruise ship at all! It catered to much older crowd then us. I have had some friends go on some and they had a great time. The ship I was on was called "Visions of the Sea" by Royal Caribbean.  Stay far far away from that ship!!

We are taking out honeymoon at Dreams Spa and Resort in Punta Cana for 10 days. We upgrade to the honeymoon suit with a Jacuzzi on our terrace!! OMG im so so excited, then we are ending out honeymoon with 2 nights in Miami!!

I am going to Sandals- Royal Caribbean (Jamaica) for 7 days and 6 nights.

I have been on a 5 Day cruise with Carnival to Bahamas, Grand Turk, Half Moon Cay. Cruises are fun and all inclusive (except for the alcoholic beverages). Definitely look on the agenda they slip through your door each morning and make sure you engage in the activities. I didn't get sea sick, but I guess it depends on the time of year you go. I went in late March leaving from Port of Miami. If you think you may get sea sick just bring some Dramamine. I love cruises and I want to go on another one, but I just wanted to have a different experience for my honeymoon since me and FH have already went on a cruise.

We don't know yet about our honeymoon....I'm really hoping we go to Hawaii, but it all depends on our budget!  We are going on a mini-moon to Chicago right after our wedding though:)

I've been a cruise before and they are awesome!!!!  I went when I was in middle school.  We went to the bahamas and boy was it gorgeous! There were so many different things to do on the cruise ship and then when the ship docked you could explore the islands!  I think the cruise you went on you had to pay for your drinks it wasn't included in the price.  I think though you can buy a drink pass where you pay x amount of money and then you can use for your whole trip!!

I haven't been on a cruise, but I've heard they're amazing. Like yourself I'm worried about the sea sickness, but I've heard you don't feel it when your on a cruise! Don't know if that's true or not though!

We're going to Thailand and I can't wait!!

My plan is to go to Hawaii but it might change as time gets closer, I kinda would like an all inclusive place.

I wear motion sickness bands on my wrist and I know my mom wear's them when she goes on cruises or she gets sick. I find they work great, I wear them on planes also. I would get them just to have just incase one of you gets sick.

FW and I are not going on a honemoon. We really want to start our family as soon as possible after getting married, and for a same sex couple it can be very costly. All funds we receive from the wedding will be put towards this, rather than the honeymoon.

I've been on a cruise and me and the FH were considering a 7 day to the western carribean, but just a bit of info.  If you two are looking for quiet and alone time you may want to try a resort stay. Don't get me wrong cruises are soooo fun, but they do come with a price, people around ALL the time.  The deck is never empty, the pools are usually packed, it's litteraly everywhere you go are people.  When you get off the boat the same people and other folks cruising are all around doing the excursions so that they can fit it all in.  We decided to do a resort stay all inclusive for our honeymoon and then for an anniversary we will take a cruise.
