Do people who are getting married arrange their own showers lately??? I have had a few people ask me when my shower is and where and I just say that as far as I know I am not having one. I know this is my second wedding, but have things changed that much??? Was I expected to put on a shower for myself???
I am feeling a little weird right now...please let me know if I was expected to do this for myself! |

Wedding Dress
Cranberry, lots of colors too!
OK...so here's the deal, my GF and I went down to the dress shop today and the lady agreed with me, saying that they should not have sold me that dress as in her opinion it did not suit my body and it was too small.
I did purchase another dress that is gorgeous and I feel beautiful in it! I feel flowy and comfortable and as though it were made just for me. Also, because I stayed away from the wedding dresses, I have COLOR! It is not purple, but a cranberry color and I can work in the peacock feathers easily! So these pictures are he result of my dress trying on spree (some of them) the first 3 pictures are of the dress I chose and the others are fun stuff. I did almost purchase the silver one and I also liked the blue one. ALSO...most everyone of these dresses including the one I bought is too large for me, so keep an open mind as any of them would need alterations. The last 2 pics are of my original returned dress. The style and maker of my dress is Val Stefani MB7017 Please tell me what you think! |

So finally I have some pics of sample bouquets, I just don't know which style to go with...I think I will go with something like the first one, I really want pizazz and elegance all at the same time. I just have to make it scream me!

I again was on EBay and found this wonderful fascinator for a really cheap price ( $12 ). I then changed it to be what I wanted and needed, so easy to do!

Wedding Favors
Peacock feathers and roses for the ladies!
I purchased some peacock feathers and wooden roses off of EBay and they finally arrived! I am so happy with them!
This is the way I am putting them together for the ladies...and for the gentlemen, we are giving shot glasses. At first I was going to put the small decoration between the rose and the feather and then decided to do it the other way, below the rose. I bought 2 colors of dyed feathers (blue and yellow and the various colors shown of the roses. The fifth picture is the back of the feathers! Please tell me what you think. |
