I was trying to figure out which hairstyle I like... i was very bored one saturday and decided to do my own hair and makeup. After going to Mac several times and left disappointed I decided to give it a try. I think I did pretty good to accomplish everything in like 20 mins (short on time---baby was sleeping)

Introducing Laila Marie
So i have been absent .... for a good reason. I put a stop to wedding planning a few months back due to the exhaustion of being pregnant, working 50+ hours a week in HR, and my ever ending list of making our house a home. Anyhow I had my little angel on 02/15/2011 @ 6:30 pm. She weighed 6lbs, 12 oz and 19 1/4 inches long.
The labor was induced and it went perfect as could be. It went so well I am looking forward to child #2 ...this pregnancy I had no morning sickness just sinus issues. It might not be as good with Child 2--but we have some time before that happens! Being a mother is the best thing in the world! She has changed both of our lives--i can't explain the joy! Anyhow I thought I would share a picture of her! Back to wedding planning in a few more weeks! As of now i have about 8 lbs to lose to get back to pre-baby weight (thanks to breast feeding)!!! |

i love to shop, when i first got in engaged I focused on finding pieces to incorporate in my wedding that was different and reflect my style. Wedding Dress
dress inspiration
I have purchased my dress and decided not to post online. However this picture is an inspiration of what i am trying to go for.
the dress i ordered came in september and i was 20 weeks/4 months, the dress was way tooo big and no one could tell i was prego. I will be tailoring it with a sweet heart neckline and fit to my curves! I love this veil in this picture...where can i find one? my local bridal stores suck and have nothing close to it. |

Wedding Monogram
Hello--it has been a while since i have been on. I am doing good, baby Laila is good we have like 10 more weeks to go so time is flying!
I haven't had the time to do as much wedding planning as I would like with the holidays, work, planning my dad's 50th birthday, and preparing for baby sometimes i feel overwhelmed. Anyhow I have picked out the monogram for our wedding. Please tell me what you think, i wanted something class and elegant. Of course I wen to my fav lady! Baby news...
It's a girl!!
Friday we found out what we were expecting. We had both our parents and my sister present during the entire ultra sound. It was amazing! We were able to get some 4d images of her.
She was very stubborn and kept hiding her face. It took us 6 mins to find out what she was becasue she wouldn't move! I was able to see her suck her thumb, wave, and hold up prayer like hands. Courtney and I both knew it would be a girl, however everyone in the family wanted a boy. Saturday we held a gender reveal party it was a HIT!! We kept it secret for 24 hours from our family and friends and it was the hardest thing! Well I will post pictures of our litle one later but I had to share the news about Miss. Laila Marie! |

wedding veil
I went bridesmaid shopping and stumbled across this veil! I didn't have my dress back in from ordering but i had to try it on because it was so sparkly! I fell in love right away! However there is a 350.00 pricetag!
OMG--luckily my bff's mom is a seamtress for a wedding shop and makes veils all day. I sent this to her today so hopefully she can give me a price quote under 350! |

I found a picture that helped save me 2,000.00!! At first I was die hard on the chivari chairs that cost 6.00 a person and for 400 people that is a lot of money for something to be hidden by bodies!
This picture is the theme i am going for however I did not want white folded chairs as they reminded me of a picnic and not wedding. Well I have changed my mind! I am going this route with purple lighting! LOVE IT! |
