Wedding Cake Plain & Simple

I saved pictures of cakes i like, this cake is timeless and classic. I am thinking about doing a fake cake since the groom to be HATES cake. I might opt to do a real bottom tier, then the rest of it would be fake. I plan to have sheet cakes cut up or have close aunts and grandmas bake their best cakes (pineapple, strawberry, german chocolate, etc...)just an idea.

Does anyone know where to find CHEAP trim and the bling intial in letter B? I love to DIY but I don't have the time nor patience right now so if someone can refer a person who wouldn't mind I would take that too.

What about fake cake squares any good websites?

I am planning on this same cake.  My baker already has the picture just trying to find cheap trim.  the cheapest I found is like $20/yd., and its gonna take abt 4-6 yards.  I better be able to use the trim later.

My daughter does glitz beauty pageants (ie...Little Miss Perfect......Toddlers and Tiaras) so we have to get rhinestones alot! There is a place called glitzonline.com (her name is Darleen) and she carries it. 1 row banding is 15.00 a yard. This stuff from her will sparkle to no end!!!! She also carries multi rows but they do get pricey.

We have also used dreamtimecreations.com You can get a 1 row band for 9.95 a yard from them.

For inexpensive letter initial try Ling Moments on Ebay.  You could purchase the initial without the bling (about $15) and add your own rihinestones with some E600 glue.
