Does any one have a list of what should be in the bathroom basket?

I have never been to a wedding where there were bathroom baskets either. However, I think it's a cute idea and I am putting one in the women's bathroom at my reception. I don't think there is a list of what HAS to go in, just whatever you feel like including. For mine I will add things like: tampons, advil, mouthwash, bobby pins, dental floss, lotion, hairspray, Tide stick for stains, kleenex, etc.

I do have a really cute poem that was suggested to me from one of the other WBC brides on here. I have typed it up and put it in a cute frame that will sit next to the basket. It says:

Thank you for sharing our special day,
But should something happen to go astray,
Please help yourself to the contents within,
Hairspray, Gum, Lotion, even Aspirin!
Use only what you need and leave the rest,
It may be useful for another guest!
So repair the damage thay may have been done,
Then hurry on back and join the fun!

2 pairs of black socks

Poem #1
Here is a basket for all of our guests,
To make sure everyone feels their best!
The hairspray will help hold your hair in place,
The bobby pins to keep your hair out of your face.
If you break a nail, don?t worry! There?s a file and some glue,
It can also fix a broken heel on a shoe!
The polish will stop that darn run in your hose,
Use the tissues to stop a runny nose!
We hope that you?ll find what you?re looking for.
Take a mint and now go hit the dance floor!

I've never been to a wedding that had one. I'm only doing survival kits for mine & the bridesmaids room, and one for the groom & groomsmen's room. I don't see a point to the bathroom baskets really.

I'm probably doing this, too, with the poem suggested by futuremrsrobb.

I'd say look at the list that futuremrssmith posted and just pick and choose what you want to include!

I think it's a fun and helpful addition to a reception area.

Its a cute idea, and I would like to do it, if it falls in our budget, otherwise we can do without. The last few weddings we've been to didnt have them, and most of the time women carry extra stuff in the purses or wristlets..

Oh you don't need everything, it's just an idea of what you could add to it.

I've never been to one that had one either.  Not sure if we're going to use this idea or not...we'll see!
