Wedding Dress
Pretty Pretty Princess
I bought my dress! Well, to be quite honest my mom bought my dress, and my grandma would like to pay the bill; but that is neither here nor there.
I had tried on dresses at a boutique in Kansas City, about an hour from my home, with my mom and little sister over break. I was not wowed by any of the dresses. The next day I went to a small shop closer to home and it was so much fun that I want to go back to the place everytime I'm home! The owner is a young girl who has the most beautiful selection of gowns in the cutest/chicest boutique! That day I went with my mom, and both of my younger sisters; and we were the only clients there! I absolutely loved the women who worked there, the boutique and my dress! I went back a week later, (with my mom, both grandmas and 1 bridesmaid) and ended up buying the dress! I had planned on a simple, (think very simple!) dress but I tried on a gorgeous, lacy, gown and did not want to take it off! Plus, I love the lace for my name's sake :) When I put it on, I feel like I'm 6 again playing Pretty Pretty Princess with my sisters :) www.emilyhartbridal.com |

Ask a Question
Does anyone else have Bride Brain?
Classes started this week, but I don't actually have class until Tuesday because of excellent scheduling this semester :) And all break, I have had the wedding/honeymoon/marriage on my mind!.
Now, I have to face reality and start back to school; the next three semesters will be the most demanding yet and so I'm holding on to every bit of nothingness until Tuesday! I shouldn't complain though, I'm in Elementary Education and I love studying it and planning to teach in the future. But I'm going to miss sleeping in and waking up with new ideas! Anyway, I hope that I can focus enough to get through classes and not drive my roommate up the wall with wedding talk -- bless her little bridemaid's heart! So, do you have Bride Brain? PS. I nanny for the cutest family while I'm here and school, so I'm blogging during naptime! I take the little boy to my FH's house to play the Wii most days, they are so cute together! No time for Mommy Brain right now! |

Inspiration Board
From the fabulous Snippet & Ink's Kathryn
Besides my fiance and our faith, I have found so much inspiration for our wedding from a blog entitled, Snippet and Ink, by Kathryn. She is phenomenal at putting together inspiration boards from photos around the web. If you have not seen her site, you definitely need to check it out (and can search her tags for details specific to your wedding, much like WBC!) These 4 boards are her creations, although there are many, many more that I have saved on my desktop that I frequent back to!
www.snippetandink.blogspot.com Anyway, I had thought that I wanted a garden wedding, and after coming across so many of her lovely boards, I was totally convinced! So as of now, we are planning a garden themed wedding in my parent's backyard using corals and pinks as our colors! PS. I'm serious, check out her blog; it's amazing! Plus, she updates it everyday! :) |

Ask a Question
Personalize WBC?
I would like to have a fun background for my profile, does anyone know how to add this? Is it something to download like on MySpace?
Thanks! |

The Proposal
Love is Patient!
I have followed this site for a few months, and waited to join until my fiance and I were engaged, and now we are! :)
My FH and I have been together almost 4 years and I knew we would be together forever the first night that we talked; he took a little longer to convince though! Anyway, on December 9th, 2008, he and my friend conspired to take me out to dinner and look at Christmas lights out by the lake. When my friend and I arrived at the lake's observation point, Blake stepped out and proposed! Poor guy was up on the hill for almost an hour in the freezing wintery mix! We are planning our wedding for June 2010, after we both graduate from Kansas State University. |
