Save the Date Cards
I think this might seem like a silly question, but I'm wondering WHO to send the save the date cards to - does everyone get one? I have a friend who sent it out to everyone and most of her guests were in town. I have some family coming in from overseas who I would like to give a heads up to so I'll send it to them but I thought that the invitation about 3 months ahead was notice enough for in-town guests... any thoughts?

I sent my save the dates to everyone.
In town, overseas, friends and family.
My wedding is on a long weekend, I just want to ensure people don't book vacations out of town,,,
Have you picked out your save the dates?, I did magnets (see my post)
Good Luck....

Invite 3 months in advance would be more than enough for your guests.

This isn't a silly question at all!  I personally would send the save the dates to all those who will be receiving an actual invite.   I would definitely send them out in advance for the oot guests, so that they can make proper arrangements for travel purposes.  For those not intended to be invited, but know about (neighbors, aquaintances, etc), I would send an announcement afterwards to include them.
