Should I or shouldn't I?
OK, so here's my dilemma. I have always dreamed of walking down the aisle with a violinist playing in the background but I'm on a tight budget and there are so many other things I could be spending the money on... the clubhouse manager at the country club suggested something that really piqued my interest - he told he that he's seen other couples hire music students (either doing their masters or in their 4th year) to play for about 45 minutes and give them a small fee. Then I could have my violinist and it wouldn't break the bank. He then proceeded to hand me his list of music students that the university had sent him.

Should I do it? I don't think it would cost all that much...

this is a great idea i think that if its affordable you should definitely do it! how romantic would that be! i actually wanted a a three piece band to play for the bridal entrance but thought the cost would again be alot..

This is actually EXACTLY what I was thinking about doing. I wanted them to play while the guests got settled for the ceremony, for the walk down the aisle and then as everyone is leaving... Since it's been a while since you've posted this, is this what you've decided to do??

We think we're going to go the student route. A friend of ours did the same thing and they had a classical guitarist play at the wedding. It was absolutely beautiful. I can't wait! If you're wanting to do it and it's not insanely expensive, I say do it!
