What is so hard about mailing back the RSVP?

OMG!! this is the most irritating thing ever! I could NOT BELIEVE the lack of etiquette some of our guests had (mostly my husbands family!) I mean, I stamped the envelope- send it back! 2 weeks before they called me to 'tell me' they were coming, um hello- the RSVP date was in May? Why are you calling me in July?! I was feeling the way you are the weeks leading up to my wedding, I just thought we would have so much more support then what we were getting. the wedding planning process was very stressful for me and at times I doubted the whole thing, keep your head up, think about you and your husband, seeing him standing there waiting for you at the end of the aisle and having your first dance together, those moments I spent with my husband on my wedding day I wouldn't give up for the world, all the stress and planning is worth it. =)

Yea, people are lame.
One thing that I was told (which I wish I knew before because it does make sense) is some people are dumb and think they need to send out the RSVP BY the date given.... so some will actually send it out that same day....
We actaully only had to call 5 people about theier RSVP's but did receive a few late (only because Canada had a postal strike)....
I don't think peopel understand the urgency. With FH's family we told them several times if you don't respond we are taking that as a decline..... they all responded.
My BIGGEST pet peeve with RSVP's is we had a fee *recently* married couples invited and we had to call them for the RSVP... like wtf? THEY JUST got married, you'd think they would understand and be ontop of that shit.

People are lazy and they forget to respond, and some just assume they can just show up. You might have to have family make some calls.

I think people don't understand how much work you put into all this and you need an accurate account of people.

i dont know why!! but it is very irritating. its simple check the "yes" box put it in the envelope and mail it..how hard is it? you dont ven have to address it or stamp it??? I hope my guest are a little more curtesy. I have about 3 weeks to my deadline and so far I have gotton back 7, so we will see how it goes for me..,...vent away girl!!!! i have alot on my mind too and i a, sick of this wedding too!!
