another change
So we kept coming back to the color issue and it was getting harder and harder to sell the pink with FH. He didn't care either way but it was harder for me seeing him in a pink enviroment lol sooooo we are changing the colors tooooo GULP! red white and black.....not my first choice but not the worst case either i hope this helps him feel a little more apart of things. Also we found out that our date will be on EASTER!!!! I am still unsure of this :(( What should I do should I change the date?

I am getting so angry trying to pick out wedding music. Sometime i wish that i could be normal and be content. but nope lol i really want something that reflects us as a couple and we are fun and upbeat! i have a couple of thoughts but maybe you girls could help as you have never led me wrong before!!! here's my ideas

Wedding Cake
finally a cake to call my own
I fell in love with the collette peters design the draping was amazing! after talking to three bakers who said no way one that was gonna charge me 2300 (cause thats what colette would charge lol) i was on the serach to find the cake! TA DA this cake matches the art deco feel of the venue and is something you dont see everyday. I love the gal i got in touch with her flavors are amazing! tiramisu and pink champange and creme burlee ughhhhhh i am SOLD! What do you girls think? She even said that we could combine the two to really make it mine! YEAHHHHHHHH!

well ladies i have to boast a little here because I just found what i was for sure did not exist!!!! I gave up on the idea of a florist just because all the websites I went to were those of people who did FTD and such and to me those are not the types to design a wedding!! I dont really care for flowers so i just said i will come up with something myself when BAM there she was a link on my DJ's web page!! Her name is Dawn with Allen and green floral event & design. www.allenandgreen.com She ONLY DOES WEDDINGS!!!! and has been featured in the better homes and garden wedding flower magazine for the last 3 YEARS!!!! She is one that will LISTEN did you hear that ladies a vendor that LISTENS!!!! lol She heard all my ideas wanted pictures and is even working with me so i dont have to sacrifice my wedding for flowers!!!!!! She is truly amazing and everyone should be lucky enough to find someone like this if you dont have someone like this check her out!!!! You wont be disappointed!!!

Wedding is back on!
So after much long thought and discussion(aka arguing w family) the wedding is back on. The American dollar is not worth a dime and for us to elope to Italy would cost just as much if not more than to have a wedding. His family really wants a wedding so the deal was as long as we cut the guest list (was 350+) down to 150 maybe 200 if the price is right i would agree not to go through a drive through wedding chapel with their baby boy! lol I put my foot down and said I am NOT paying for a friend of a cousin whom they were childhood buddies to come to my wedding. When she gets married by all means but not me. I am not trying to sound like a penny pincher but the people that are coming are those that mean something to me and i want them to have nice things and I wasnt to have a beautiful wedding. I would much rather have 150 loved ones with beautiful memories and good food than 350 people with finger sandwhiches and no memory as to who all I talked to that night. 150 is still alot of people so i look forward to talking to you gals again!!!! also we pushed back our wedding date. :( Out date was taken and the prices went WAYYYYYYY up for our venue so a Sunday wedding it is!!!!!!!!!!

wedding is off........we are going to Italy
Well ladies this is bittersweet for me........over the labor day weekend my FH and I started talking about getting back on track with our wedding planning now that we are moved in our new house and all that business is taken care off....whew what a relief.....anywho so as i am sitting at the table going over stuff that we need to decided on and go forward with he grabs my hand and says.....lets go to Italy! I know you are not into big weddings and more into the memeories and you love Italy. (wink wink ahhhhhhh yes Italian boys are great) lol I don't want to spend all this money to make everyone else happy I want to spend this money to make us happy!!!
I was in shock!! this is his first wedding as an only child in a big Italian family this sounds like a set up but he called them and we are doing it. Sooooooooo we are going to Italy maybe this spring and getting married in a intimate ceremony in city hall in Venice. Its bittersweet cause I miss the creativity but i have to agree having just my choice its what i would have done!!! So i proboly wont be on here for a while but i will post pictures as soon as i get them. GOOD LUCK to all you ladies!!! If you need anything i now have a lot of free wedding planning time on my hands free for all of my WBC sisters!! CIAO! |
