The Proposal
My First Post!
so I'm not really new to this site - I absolutely love it you ladies are all so so helpful! and I've been meaning forever to actually share some of the stuff I've made, done with you - but time always seems to evade me, so I'm going to start with my proposal and introducing my fabulous fiance - Marc:)

It's a little long so brace your self:)

So to truly understand this proposal – we must back up a few months to November of 2008 when Marc got one of my girlfriends - Mandy in on his “mater plan” and therefore she had to pretend to be enrolled in a photography class, and convince me that she was excited about it. Fast forward a couple of months to January 2009 – Marc informs me that he must go away the following month for a Carpentry Convention in the States.
(You may be wondering what this has to do with anything, but I promise it’ll all make sense in a good 76 seconds…well based on how fast you read?)
And that brings us to Friday February 20th 2009 – the weekend Marc was to be at his carpentry convention and “co-incidentally” the same weekend Mandy needed to work on her “photography project”. She claimed she needed to do a portrait shoot with a theme, so she had chosen a medieval theme and asked if I wanted to help her do it.
So that night, we head over to her house to set up, get dressed and do the shoot, however, after I was all dressed in my medieval princess garb she handed me an envelope. In it contained a letter from Marc explaining that he had set up a “belated valentine’s surprise” for me while he was out of town. It went on to explain that there were eight other letters hidden throughout her house that represented various “firsts” in our relationships that I was too find based on the clues indicated at the end of each letter. And so the hunt began…to eight different parts of her house, all with a huge letter describing different big moments in our relationships. Attached to each letter was a present or a yummy goodie to sustain us on our expedition.
The last letter, however, had an apple and simply said to call him and he would use his calling card to call me back. So I called him ...and then waited for him to call me back. After, what seemed like forever, he finally called back and said to turn on the CD player and head outside to the porch. Time of My Life from Dirty Dancing (one of my favourite’s) started playing and we headed to the porch. And that’s when I saw him – on a horse – riding down the end of the driveway – in his Prince Charming getup to match my outfit. And remember that apple he had left with the letter? I got to feed it to the horse! – after which we went inside while Aerosmith’s Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing we danced and that’s when he got down on one knee – and really I’m not too sure what he said I was too busy freaking out, all I remember is screaming and then a ring coming out.
Now if that’s not the perfect fairy tale it gets better –my girlfriends’ mom had the most glorious chocolate cake waiting for us after we had slightly calmed down and had taken a million pictures. But the surprises still weren’t over, as we were getting ready to leave I looked out the window to another surprise – he had rented one of my favourite cars – a white 300 and had arranged for us to drive around Toronto and Barrie to visit all of our immediate family and celebrate with them. And if that still wasn’t enough he had called my boss a while back and had gotten me off work and instead arranged for us to attend the last wedding show of the season?
Pretty much it was a fantasticly glorious evening that was beyond perfect?

we just want it to be a great big party in which we get to celebrate our love and the fact that we get to marry our best friends:) before our friends and families and Christ, It's going to be simple but elegant. Our colours are pink and green with some added gold:)
