Wedding Flowers
Ordered
I finally ordered my flowers last weekend. Everything came to $950.00 but I used to work at the flower shop that's doing them, so i got a huge discount for $700! I am so excited! :D
I changed my colors from a fire engine red to a burgundy. I thought it would be prettier, and make it easier for my bridesmaids to find dresses. The flowers I am using are burgundy gerbs, deep red roses, white hypericum, and monkey tail. We decided to use the buckets that we are decorating the isle with for centerpieces too, and we're just going to add hypericum to make a topiary look. Also to save money. ha ha |

Wedding Cake
Cake ordered!!!
I ordered our cake about two weeks ago, and I'm so excited! We decided on a 3 tier square cake. My FH has very plain taste, and his favorite cake is white cake, so I went with white to make him happy. ha ha we decided that we didn't want to serve everyone off of the cake, so only the top two layers are cake, and the bottom one is fake.
I picked out satin ribbon to go around all of the layers, and decided to layer my three colors on top of each other in the different sizes of ribbon. The thickest is a Fire Engine red, the Middle is a Tan color called Oatmeal (a more cream color looked really white up against the strong red, and the darker brown, so I went with a tan to make it a little warmer), and the smallest ribbon is brown. We went with white icing on all of it, but it is going to have a decorative swirl over all of the cake. It is going to be beautiful! I'm so excited! After looking around for a wedding cake topper we liked, I just decided to go with a flower arrangement on top instead of a figurine. And the flowers are going to cascade down the right edge of the cake like in the picture. My flowers are Red Roses, Red Gerbera Daisies, and Hypericum. I am so excited!!! :D |

Leaving The Reception
Mini bubble guns???
I really want to do bubbles for when my FH and I leave the reception. My mom was telling me that she went to a wedding where they had the little bottles, and she said it was really annoying to have to sit and blow every little bubble. I don't want to spend too much money, and I'm thinking that a bunch of people blowing on little bubble containers may create the same effect as a little bubble gun.
What do you ladies think? Should I get some sort of bubble machine, or should I do something more along the lines of just the small bubble containers? |

STRESSED OUT MOM!!!
My mom has been stressing out so bad! I don't even know how to handle it. I thought that I was being kind and considerate when planning my wedding, yet she still finds things to yell at me about! She'll just call me sometimes to yell at me...
I can't wait until this is over! |

Bridesmaids
Saving some $$$!
I decided that instead of picking one specific dress that my bridesmaids would probably never be able to wear again, I would let them pick their own dress. I told them that it has to be knee length, and match the red swatch of fabric that I gave them. I have 7 bridesmaids, so I wanted them to be able to pick their own style for however cheap they wanted. I'm so excited! :D

Ring Bearer Pillow and Flower Girl Baskets
I absolutely love these baskets and pillow! I realized soon after picking my colors that I was going to have to settle with red and White instead of red and cream on a lot of things. But oh well, I really love these, I couldn't resist! The baskets are $10.70 each, and the pillow is $17.89.
