So I met with the 1st Dj company last week and I liked him but he didnt give me that WOW factor.....So I decided to keep looking, I found another Dj at a Bridal expo and set up my app with him. SO I met with him today and Im so excited and happy with our decision. We chose to go with Fred from ViP Entertainment, He is so down to earth and giving us everything we want. I felt like I knew him forever when we were talking and he gave me so many ideas! We got the dance floor lighting, up-lighting for the room, a satellite for each room(ceremony,cocktail hour & ballroom) and the photo booth! I couldnt of made a better decision! Now I guess I can start picking my songs and making my planner on his page. YAYYY!!!!

Soooo on to the next step..were meeting with a dj this week and 1 next week...The one we will be meeting with tm is the dj/photographer/videographer and photo booth company. I like the fact they are all in 1 and I wont have to look around but I havent seen a lot of their photos so I want to see them in person...they do have great reviews tho =) the Dj we are meeting with next week is just the Dj service but I met his company at a bridal expo the other day and it just felt right....he understood all my wants/needs and is very familiar with my venue. He seems great and also has great reviews...Both have a great price so I guess it will be just who wins us over...Both also include full upgraded lighting which I love!! I'll keep you posted =)

So my FH and I have certain things that we just arent budging from...is anyone else having this problem? Of course everyone wants the nice wedding and amazing reception...great food, yummy cake, and a good Dj..but our problem is the little things that are a big price...

My Have to Haves are....a candy table and a photobooth....I have already bought lots of jars and different containers for the candy table, got lots of great deals but Im waiting to buy the candy until later so its fresh...I keep reading stories about how pricey they get so if anyone has any helpful hints please let me know...my 2nd thing is a photobooth...as if the reception wont be fun enough I just feel like the photobooth will be a great memory and a time that the guests can be goofy and relax...I love the silly pictures and the book that most vendors will put together for you...but then again they do get pricey....but like I said I will not budge for these things lol!

My FH big thing is the open bar...luckily the venue we booked has full open bar for 4 hours and also 2 signature cocktails....wait how did he get so lucky his is already included! lol oh well looks like I will be the 1 working overtime to keep my extras =)

So before we even thought about a proposal or engagement we talked about who we would ever have in our wedding.....So after asking everyone this is what our wedding party looks like......

I have 4 Bridesmaids plus my MOH...My MOH is my cousin who has been like my sister since we were little..she is older than me but knows when to give me advice and when to be a kid at heart...I wouldnt of chosen anyone else!! My 4 bm's are 2 of my closest cousins who are very close in age...we grew up like sisters and were so close growing up (even tho they arent as close now I am making it a point to regain our bond during my wedding) I love them both! I also chose my FH's older sister to be a BM bcus we have been close since day 1! She never looked at me as anything but a sister...and I did the same...we are so much alike and I am thankful to have gained a great sis-in-law! My last BM's is a close friend of mine..we have been friends since high school, even tho we fell apart a few times we are now closer than ever...she is the definition of a true friend and if there through thick n thin =) 5 AmAzInG Ladies<3

My FH picked 4 Groomsmen and a Best Man as well...His BM is his only Brother...2 of the GM are very close friends that he grew up with since elementary school...another GM he chose was a friend hes known for awhile and also the guy who hooked us up ;P lol and of course my brother...very happy they have a good relationship because family means so much to me!

We have 2 children...a daughter who will be 8 at the time of the wedding and our son will be 4...they will be the ring bearer and flower girl...we are also including our nieces and nephews on both sides....I have 1 niece and he has 2 nieces and 3 nephews...we are planning on having them as escorts for the ring bearer and flower girl...Ive never seen this before but I would love for them to match the bridal party and then our children will wear white to match us....are we crazy for having 8 kids under the age of 8 lol...we might be but their important to us and thats all that matters!

I can wait until this dream becomes reality and I can see everything in person!!!! I just hope it looks as amazing as I imagine!!!

So excited to begin planning our reception....me and my FH will be together 7 years when we get married. With that being said both of our families say our wedding is long overdue lol! So when we think about our reception we think BIG =) I have so many ideas planned and so much to do. I will be having a candy table and lighting that will hopefully keep the dance floor full! We are still thinking about our Djs although the 2 we have in mind are both amazing! The venue we are using will take care of all of our linens, cake, bar, food and anything else you could possibly think of! I am SO excited! I will keep you ladies posted on all of my DIY projects and details!!!

Soooo....Not being the typical religious church ceremony I am having some issues understanding and finding ideas of how to make our ceremony a little less religious. I am having a outdoor ceremony at the same location as the reception. I am very excited about the sand unity part of our ceremony. I am hoping to have white sand for the foundation, I will poor blue, my FH will poor Brown and our 2 children will then add more white. I already have the vows written for this part but its the rest of the ceremony Im finding the trbl with. My FH's family is Jehovah witness and my family is Catholic...as we both arent technically baptised as either of them we want to make everything comfortable for our familys. We both believe in god and would love for our ceremony to be blessed but just need to find the right way to go about it...I'll keep everyone updated with my ideas and if any of you fellow brides have suggestions PLZZZ help =)

So this will be my 1st official post besides my engagement story....There is so much to do in what feels like so little time although I have over a year to get things together. I have already booked our wedding venue which is where the ceremony and reception will be. Ive also went to a few bridal expos which arent just fun but actually very helpful!! I have apps with 2 djs scheduled and have asked all of our bridal party. We will be having a wedding party of 18...big but not really...8 of them will be children with only a small part =) We have picked our colors and lots of things we want and dont want so now its all about putting everything together...I am so excited and cant wait to plan my beautiful Tiffany Blue wedding that Ive always dreamed of!!!

Troy and I were together for almost 6 years and have 2 beautiful children together. We had been talking about marriage for awhile and I knew he had the idea in his head but I also knew he wanted to save money for a beautiful ring. He always used the expression "if Im going to do it Im going to do it Big!" A few wks before our actual engagement I found a Jewelers credit card application in his work pants. I never said anything about it but knew the time would be getting close now. One night we were watching a reality show about a couple getting married and I had made a few comments. He told me to stop talking about it and let him embarass himself. He may not have realized what he was saying but I did. I knew he didnt like talking in front of people and I knew we were going to a 76ers game in a week. In my head I knew he was doing it then. I got extra dressed, extra make up and better believe my hair was extra done....only to find out there was no proposal at the game. A week after that we had a Superbowl party at our house with our close family and friends. As I was sitting down to eat, Troy came around the corner and said "I have an announcement to make". When I turned around he got down on 1 knee and said " I love you, will you marry me?" After speechless moments and tears in my eyes, of course I said YES!
