I think it's important that we support each other in our endeavours becasue it's obvious that we love weddings!!! WBC is like family and my sisters are doing great things and I can't think of anywhere else i would go but here to get what I need!!! I've started my wedding coordinating business and I'm a step ahead of most planners in my area becasue of WBC!!! I have unlimited resources on here and here is one of them.. My fellow WBC brides come to the rescue!! Here are the items I'm able to offer to my brides thanks to them, the monograms are by unpredicatable bride, and the buffett signage is by rodrhonda4ever, the other pics are of my work and actually my very own wedding to be exact!!!! On marketplace I've been able to help brides get rid of unused or slightly used itmes and I'm able to offer my brides better prices becasue of it!!! the name of my company is sweet and simple "Elegant Steps Events & Weddings" and of course I had to use a logo I loved and its whatelse but a Red & Black Stilitoe!!! Thanks guys for everything!! Any brides wanting to get rid of items after the wedding hit me up, I'm flexiable and pay quickly!!! I love WBC!!!! |

As much as I hate to see it go I'm going with my gut and selling my dress. Origianlly paid $1500.00 but will sale for $680 with royal length veil. I am willing to negotiate the price if needed. Royal catherdral veil for sale as well!!! asking $80 paid $215 had custom crystals applied by hand!!!! The veil is Ivory The dress color is chamapge blush with plenty of sparkle. No alterations done at all. Size 20 for a size 14-16, can be altered without destroying the look of the dress. The corset actually made me look smaller than normal with the corset it was a greaat plus. A lace and chiffon overlay over beautiful satin. Shutterfly.com has specials on all sizes of photobooks so it would be a great place to create a beautiful book on a budget. I was able to do a great book for under $100 with the pictures I really wanted to display. Over a hundred pages which is pretty large for a book.  Deep Thpught I was so worried about being on time Finally I calmed down IMG_3319 My daughters were on point helping me get ready IMG_3376 Simply adored the shoes they were so comfortable IMG_3411 IMG_3483 IMG_3500 IMG_3511 IMG_3517 My godmother and my bestfriend Saying a little prayer before walking in Everyone looked so nice The groomsmen n the groom Everyone was patiently waiting No that was a veil!!! _MG_2486 Demond n Desmond, bestman was there for him My father-in-law and me one of my church members making sure it all starts off right My girls were on point All the Kings men were together again A table for Two See the bottle on the table My sister ate till she couldn't breath a Dance Just for Us A toast Demond and his bestman Desmond Our wedding Cake tasted so good there was not one crumb left The sweet table almost started a riot!!! All homemade cakes and goodies the fruit tree was so much fun                                    |

Singing Brides
I was looking at blkbutterfly's blog and she had the question to sing or not to sing.
I was immediately drawn to this wuestion because I sang at my wedding and the response was wonderful. I sang "Atlast" and what was wonderful was that I had a keyboardist, organist, saxophonists, drummer and base guitarists all playing, so the sound was wonderful. I sing at so many different events it just seemed the right thing to do. Now the entire bridal party had no idea nor did the hubby. My poor mom was out done. She usually is quite composed and refined she was a mess. My daughters were in shock because I started singing from the room I was in and no one knew. I enjoyed each minute. My hubby cried like a newborn baby and my poor groomsmen broke down and I mean funeral style!!! His bestman was wiping tears from his face then had to stop and wipe his own tears. His dad sobbed. I was like do I sound that bad???? I have gotten so many complements on the surprise and invited to sing at other events. The moment was wonderful. Wedding Day Drama
I knew it was inevitable!!
Ok well as we all know nothing we work so hard for or plan goes the way we want it to unless we do it!!! Well let's begin
To begin with I want to go to te rehearsal!!! Well of all eople to be late it was me!!!! Not by choice but I had some major issues to handle that everyone knew and undertood so it wasn't an issue, they just decded to eat before rehearsal so we pushed it back an hour!! Ok we as in the bridesmaids and I were suppose to go decorate the hall but me being me!!! Everything was almost done the night before all they had to do was finish putting napkins on the tables and menu cards and put CD's together..... turns out only one bridesmaid was there but I had a decorating dream team!!! My back drop at the church and the hall were done by my partner who has her own business but we team up from time to time for large functions so that I didn't have to do. She and her husband and my coordinator and my sister and I went hard in the paint!!! They actually put me out of the building because I had done so much so quick they told me to go to bed. I couldn't do that so I went home and printed thank you notes for the bridal party to add to the table. (Last minute detail). Well guess what with all my efficincy I forgot to orint the programs out!!! Oh well I didn't really care it sudenly wasn't important. It was storming all day long!! I mean rain for hours, your was muddy, wet streets slick!!! I went into over drrive. All the plans to take pictures before the ceremony................. nope. The Groomsmen got to take theres but the bridesmaids had to get dressed at the church so we didn't take ours until afterwards. Oh well..... didn't care........ I had an awesome photographer well I had two they were boyfriend and girlfriend so it was cool to see them work amazing!!!! Anywho.... while running around in the rain it didn't make sense to go get my hair done because it was storming so I took care of last minute stuff like... no one picked up the clear plates from the store, I got it!! No one picked up the groomsmens socks (my coordinator had them) No one canelled the hotels because we decided to gt married at te church!!!! (I did it). No one remembered to pick up the deviled eggs (thanks mommy)....... and of course it was raining!!! Oh and no one picked up the chocolate fountain...........bridezilla woke up!!! Well after about two drinks of a wonderful drink called crown and coke, I was ok so around 2:30 I started getting ready you will not believe this. While I'm in the shower I hear everyone in the house clapping and screaming so I'm wondering whats the deal. After all that damn rain all day long!!! It stopped and the sun was beaming just 2 hours before we're on the way to the church!! Well got dressed and my friend who was a bridesmaid and my hairdresser was on point. I got my hair and makeup done at the sametime and was done in 30 minutes!!!! I was at the church almost 45 minutes early!!! We started on time and when i say on time people were still trying to come into the church but got turned around to go in the side door because I had started. My pastor handed us $100 at the alter and said to everyone he had a deal with his wife that if I started on time he'd give me $100 just because I would be the first one he has seen in 20 years on Pastoring. I had the simplest fastest wedding you every wanted to see. Only two songs. The entire bridal party marched in as one unit to one song it was tight!!! I sang for my daughters to enter and I walked in while I was singing to my FH. I sang Atlast and the tears were flowing. I mean everyone was crying!!! But me I was all smiles and I enjoyed every minute!!! Well at the reception there was a wreck so the DJ was late getting to the hall so we beat him there so guess what!!!! NO DJ!!!! Well after all the drama over the DJ he arrives with a pissed off bride but I was cool somebody put a drink in my hand and I was good!!! Without any further problems the party started and lasted until 3am and it was a blast all night long!!! |

Hello WBC Family!!!! I've been away for a minute but I'm back, rested and on a mission. Now I'm Mrs. Marshall for real!!!!
My photographer was OMG!!! the best I've ever seen!! Yes the peacock was in our crystal tree........ People have asked me already if this was a magazine picture but nope she was that good!!! Anyone in the Southern Louisiana Area who is looking for amazing and I mean amazing work!!!! Here she is........ Phoneix Fletcher Phography, if you need info I'm trying to get her booked she is that good I'm making it a mission. These aren't even half of the pics she took and I cried all night when I saw them. The wedding was fun, I cut out so much stuff at the last minute that believe me when i say it wasn't missed nor did I even notice. It rained alllllllll day up until an hour before getting ready to go to the church. Alot of plans got scapped because of the rain but it worked. In the next post I will go into step by step details. Right now I wanted to share these with you guys and get back inot making sure everyone is doing ok. Oh by the way all the flowers, the crystal tree, the CD's anything that looks personal was done by yours truly. DIY rules the nation!!!! I think I got BlingBride beat!!!! $5,025.00 total!!! and that was including new lingerie!!! |

But on for a little while!!!
Ok ladies my time has come and today I'm in overdrive so I thought I'd take a moment to say goodbye for now. I'll be sure to post evrything there is to know about the wedding!!! I'm going to miss you guyz but I will be back I have 10 days to get it done so I'm going to oull myself from the computer so I can get things in order. I'm going to try not to stress but I don't see that happening!!!
The Reception is set at the African American heritage Museum and I'm excited to share some history with my guests as well.... By the way the bridal shower was great I had fun...my mom was on a roll!!!! To all the September Brides It's our time ladies let's get it done.... Good Luck and Best Wishes!!!!! |
