He Said YES!!
To Being Our Officiant!
My FH's great aunt's son, Jim, said YES to being our Officiant last night. He and his family are really close to us and Collin's family, so it means a lot that he will do it for us :) We're so excited. Collin was SO nervous asking him (you know how guys are with talking about feelings haha) Jim actually officiated for Collin's sister's wedding last year and did a WONDERFUL job. He is not a clergyman but he used to be a marriage counselor at his church and now he's a vice principal at a highschool here in town. He's going to give us counseling as well, which I'm really psyched about! This just makes everything seem so real, and we're one step closer to getting the most important part of the wedding taken care of :) I'm SO excited!!!! (did i mention that already? hahaha)

I told you we were behind on A LOT of things lol better late than never, another to do checked off the list!

And i wanted to share something with you because i know everyone is always looking for something different at their ceremony:

Like I said before, Jim officiated for Collin's sister's wedding, during the ceremony, he talked about how many people really supported the couple and how they have so many couples who've been married a long time who are great resources for a happy marriage. then he had the couple turn towards their guests, then had everyone stand up and also vow that they would be there for the couple should they need their help regarding marriage and advice. it was REALLY special, everyone thought it was so wonderful. He didnt tell anyone he was going to do that, so it was a surprise but it was really cool to see how genuine everyone was about it, lots of people came up to them afterwards and told them that they were sincere about being a part of their support system. its pretty cool to see how many people really care about your marital success. Anyway, sorry for the novel. thats all :)
