E-pics here FINALLY!!!
Hi ladies, I have been swamped in DIY projects and other things ensuring that this day go as smoothly as possible. I finally got my E-pics back from my photog. However, I was really unhappy because he didnt do anything he said he would do to them. Then on top of that, he was suppose to have the pics sent off to be printed. We took these pics early December and just got them back on yesterday!!! He told me he had to send the pics off to be printed and I had chosen different poses for different sizes and colors. HE NEVER SENT THE PICS ANYWHERE!!! He was also suppose to give me the pics on a disc and I never got the disc or the poses I had chosen to have blown up!! I know he didnt have anything done to them, because the 30+ poses I had taken out to be discarded was still mixed back into the poses I had chosen. I was so mad because I feel like he didnt have to lie about something so simple.
Well, I hate for people to lie to me and I feel like if it was such a hassle getting my e-pics done, I can imagine what the hassle will be for my prebridal and wedding day pics!! Lucky for me, I was able to find a NEW PHOTOG in the same day!! The best part is, he is much more organized and alot more professional about his craft!! PEEP this: He was much cheaper than the original photog was charging and his packages are way better for your money!!! Im so happy about him (after everything else thats happen)!! Well, although Im not using the same photog, here are some of our shots the original photog did. I think they came out great despite his delay in presenting a quality product on TIME!!!! lol Anyway, Im so glad things worked out in my favor!!! God has really got my back 100% on this thing yall!!! I know its meant to be!!!! Here are a few of the pics I scanned!!! Check it out!! |

What is your flower girl(s) headpiece going to be?!?!?!?!
Ladies, I have been getting package after package and Im enjoying each minute!!! I ordered my flower girl dresses last week and received them in about three days tops!!!! That was fast!!! The dresses are exactly like pictured!! My daughter was so excited to finally try her dress on since my oldest daughter had already had the chance to try hers on as well!!!
I think these are gonna look great with their DIY flower baskets I made!! They will get pearl jewelry accessories and a head peice to wear as well. Question: What type of headpeice will your flower girl(s) wear for the ceremony??? I like the headpiece in the 4th pic, but Im not sure if I like this type of headpeice. Then I also like the 5th pic too! I think this headband would bring out the sash on the dress! I was thinking about a smaller tiara for the girls.......SMH!! Im so confused!!! Which one would you choose?? |

Wedding Party Gift Ideas
Ladies, the FH and I have started looking at gifts we can give to our wedding party. We quickly came across the personalized flask for the men and the personalized totes for the ladies. The only thing is I dont think I want to give them empty tote bags, but I dont know what else I could give them. I have ten bridesmaids so cost is definitely a factor!!
Do u think I should present them with an additional gift or the tote is enough?? If so, what else would u give them?? What did u give ur ladies in the wedding?? |

Hi again ladies, I have recieved my dress, so now Im ready to start getting my accessories to compliment my dress. I have always believed that a girl should have pearls on her wedding day so thats what I am wearing. My crown has pearls so I want my jewelry to be pearl as well. I have been shopping around for pearl chandelier earrings and found two pair that I really like. However, I cant decide which one I like MORE!!!!!! They are both really pretty and I love, love, love the chandelier vintage look of them!! Oh Em Gee!!! Whats a girl to do!! Decisions, decisions, decisions........

Only TWO months to go.....
Ladies, I am super excited!!! I have exactly two more months until I am officially Mrs. Patton! I can hardly wait! This has been a very long and time comsuming journey. However, I definitely think it will be well worth it on the BIG day!!!! I still feel like I have a ton of things to do but I am proud of myself because Im on schedule with everything!!! Yay me!!!! :-)

Wedding Dress
It FINALLY arrived.....
Ladies, I am too excited!!! I cant stop staring at it.....Its finally in my hands!!!! MY dress has arrived!!!!!!!! I have possession of my gorgeous dress and it is exactly what I wanted!!!! I was a little worried it wasnt going to get back in time, but timing couldnt be more perfect!!! The FH has already picked out his tux and now all he has to do is be fitted. Everything is finally starting to hit me. Each time I ask the FH if he is nervous yet he looks at me seriously and shakes his head "no" each time I ask. I wasnt nervous at first either, but now since I have recieved my beautiful dress, I am becoming more and more nervous. I am down to about 60 days...that is NOT alot of time!!!
Anywho, I am so pleased with my dress! My oldest daughter is really excited because her dress is just a mini version of mine! Its the exact same dresses!!! The only thing I didnt like is that I requested for her dress to have straps, but they didnt put straps on her shoulders, they added a strap that goes around her bust area like fastening a bra. It actuallly holds the dress up so thats why I really cant complain, but she is only 10 and I think its more appropriate for her to have straps on her dress. Overall, I am really pleased with the dresses! I am planning to loose a a few more pounds before the wedding, so wish me luck with that!! |

Wedding Reception
The Big Send-Off
Ladies, I wanted us to leave the reception with a really memorable moment. So I was browsing through some photos and came across this photo. I thought this was soooo pretty, so I opted to join in on this really popular trend (after I googled it). I think this is what you would call going out with a bang!!
At the end of the reception we are going to hold a grand send-off ceremony under a halo of pretty sparklers!! I cant wait to see it! I think this will make a really pretty picture to add to the collection!! Here are the personalized matches I orderd to pair with the sparklers. However, after my father passed (Dec 30), I forgot to get the sparklers during the New Years Holidays. The local shops have all closed! So, now I must purchase them online from a wedding sparkler company. Also pictured is the vase the sparklers will be placed in with a personalized message as wel. (pic 4). The matches will be placed in containers for easy but neat access. I orderd the personalized matches from TK while they were on sale! Oh, and sorry for the horrible pic taking.... Smooches!! |

Ladies, here is another DIY project that is almost complete. These are my favor tags inspired by WBC bride Gratefulbride!! Thx!!!
In an eariier post, I explained that I was gonna have candy apples, a music cd, and the bubble sweets favor. For the bubble sweets favor, we both absolutely love chocolate and we always sit in bed and watch movies with a large bag of hershey kisses or a king size hershey bar. We love, love, love chocolate! So, we are gonna put two silver kisses in a clear treat bag with a bottle of bubbles. The bag will be finished with one of these favor tags(like the one shown in the third pic) that read "Blowing Kisses" with our first name and the wedding date (the red hot candies are just stand-ins). I thought this was a little cute favor idea that represented us well! For the apples, we will also tie these same tags on them as well, but they will read "the apple of each others eye" with our names and the wedding date. I cant wait to put them all together!! I will post pics for your viewing pleasure soon!!! TTYL!! Thx!!! |

Wedding Invitation
Completed!!!
Ladies, I have FINALLY completed the last bit of my wedding invitations. I had a hard time decided what my overall concept would be, but after a few samples, I finally narrowed them down to these. Another bride on WBC loved my invites and thought it would be a great idea to enter them into the DIY invite contest. The winner gets stationary paper supplies worth $200 so we will see how this goes!!
Anywho, here is a look at the finished peice. I am planning to pass them out around late February. I am still currently working on my website, which I hope to have finished soon! Wish me luck!! |
