IM GETTING MY BEACH WEDDING..BUT DO I HAVE TO CHANGE MY COLORS AGAIN?

I finally found a cheap beach venue in Santa Cruz, CA! I am so excited about having a beach wedding but I am starting to have some concerns and dilemmas!

1. Do I have to change my colors again? Our favorite color is red and I LOVE the damask pattern. Our original colors were Tiffany Blue to match the scenery of the beach.

2. Can the grooms men still wear black tux's on the beach? Would that be to dark? What color tux should they wear? With all beach wedding I see khaki.

3. What type of shoes should the guys wear?

4. Should the bridesmaids have sandals or no shoes? My best friend and MOH said that they have these cool jewel for your feet and they kinda go up you ankle...Anyone know the proper name for them? I found a picture of one and they are really expensive! Where can I get them for around $15-25?

I have heard these sandals called barefoot sandals.

This site has some reasonably priced ones.

I think you could keep your wedding colors as they are if you really love them but something a little softer, more breezy, than black damask might be nice on the beach.

The jewelry is called thong jewlery, u can google them and they come up! I think your colors will be fine, the only thing to take into thought would be if the groomsmen wore black is that going to be warm for them with the heat? We are having our wedding on the beach too but it's just me and my FH and we're doing a sunset wedding. Good luck to u!!!! :D

I would say barefoot for the guys, great suggestion by the other ladies for the thong jewelry for the feet for the ladies..(i am looking into them right now for my intimate beach renewal) I think the color scheme is still fine the men may be hot in the suites, maybe white linen tops with tan bottoms and every other groomsmen wear a red boutennier* (spell check) and the others wear tiffany blue boutenniers same with flowers of the bridesmaids, here for ya all the way sweetie! Happy Planning!

@Alicia Thanks but i dont think they will be to warm because its in the evening in September. I cant wait to see your pictures and good luck to you also!

@Gorgeou6 My colors are red, damask, silver....I think the guys will be fine w/no shoes..I also thought about grey tux but that would throw my color scheme off a lil.

I personally think black is to formal not to mention HOT for a beach wedding, I think a blue would work but not red. You just don't see those colors and certain locations. I am having a beach wedding and I'm doing tan suits with brown loafer type shoes. Try Beachweddingthemeshop.com for the 'shoes' you are describing. I'm pretty sure they are a decent price.

Good luck with your planning!
