I picked a date! (NOT!)
I sat down and picked a date for our wedding. I was thinking about going with the first or second weekend in November but it could be really cold here and we could have snow. December, January and February are out because of the weather. I don't want to worry for the next two years about snow storms. March, April and May are just way too packed with almost everyone in my family's birthdays, including mine! There is literally about twenty birthdays in those months and then you add in Easter and it's just too much. June, July and August are out because it would be too hot and I want an outdoor wedding. That leaves September and October. I looked at the calendar and for whatever reason October 8th jumped out at me. So that's the date that I'm hoping for. We'll see though. Now I have to find a ceremony and reception place.
12/14/2009- **UPDATE** Well I thought that I had found the perfect outdoor location for both our ceremony and reception but when I went to book it today the office said that because of the economy the park would be closing at the end of this year and no longer be available for rent. BOO!! |

I just made one this morning and it turned out cute and better yet it didn't take too long to do. I'd love to try it in a different material next time.

DIY Wedding
Origami favor box
As much as I love the pink popcorn ball/lollipop idea for a favor I like the idea of little favor boxes even better. I don't love how much money they cost though and the reality is that I can not afford to spend a lot of money on favor boxes. I found a tutorial on origami boxes and I thought that I would give it a shot and amazingly I did it! Excuse the cheap computer paper and crappy cell phone pics please!
If anybody else is interested here's the link, http://www.origami-instructions.com/origami-box.html If I did make these for my favors I would probably fill them with candy and add a ribbon or a tag or something to them. I don't know though because the candy would just fall out so easily. I guess that I could make another box a smidge bigger and make a top. IDK |

Bouquets with rhinestones
I am in love with the idea of putting rhinestones in my bouquet. I like the rhinestones that are in the center of the roses better than the rhinestones that are on the wires but both ideas are really pretty. I also love those hot pink roses!
