This is mrsred's Red Wedding!

So I've decided, because of financial and family issues, to have a small wedding just on a bridge with a family pastor and my immediate family there. It will be nice we will share vows and rings. We are having communion and a prayer/covenant ceremony as well. I think it will be nice.

So much has happened and monies just weren't there so we decided to do this and next year to the date have a big formal celebration with tons of people there.

So I guess I get twice the fun

Ok so I feel like I'm in the middle of a mid-wedding planning crisis. (sigh) it's 4 months almost till i'm suppose to get married but my FH and I are beginning to realized that we might not be able to get together even the small amount needed to have the super tiny wedding i really wanted.

So I'm thinking about having a quick civil ceremony with our parents then a wedding/vow renewal in June to save up money.

can you do this? or is it tacky?
has anyone else gone through this or something similar and what were your solutions.

Ok so I'm having a small wedding-basically immediate family only (25 people total). I have an announcement issue though.. at first I was set on sending out my announcements to extended-family after our wedding but I'm finding it difficult to do that. How do I tell them about that and invite them to a pre-wedding party without dealing with tons of people showing up on our wedding day. And how would you word that?

Background info- I know it might seem rude but we really wanted a small wedding and finances are tight that's why I'm really worried about more people showing up

Well I talked to my FH and he told me he really wanted 1 of his brothers to stand up with him. So I've decided to be nontraditional once again. My sisters and my best friends are all going to be "honorary moh/bridesmaids" -- translation they don't have to buy a dress or shoes just come and be happy with me. But I still needed someone on my side. I couldn't pick between my sisters so I've chosen my oldest best friend, we've known each other since 6th grade.

you know it's soo hard when you have been in their weddings and just want to share you know those same/ similar fun moments throughout the day and before hand.

oh well another crisis averted.

So here are the flowers I'm having....

I absolutely love, love, love the pearls around the wrapping it's such an elegant touch not to mention sentimental (pearls are my birthstone).

I talked to the florist and it looks like we are going with fressia instead of the steph. because steph. is soooo expensive actually. I'll have it but the girls won't. Also that braiding of the wrapping is so pretty. I think I'm going to such the red base with the black on the outside since it's a black tie affair.

You know when you get to that point and I'm sure most of you brides know what I'm talking about. That point months before when you are like "should we or shouldn't we" get married sooner. You would think with a small wedding you could pull off last minute switches but nope now i have to think about EVERYONE. sigh and (forgive me for complaining) but it's sooooo difficult doing this long distance my family in MI and his in MA sigh ... that's what you get for long distance dating. sigh...... I swear if I really didn't care i would just go to city hall or Puerto Rico and get married but sigh we both value family too much.. sigh....

Is any one else out there having a small (tiny) wedding of 50 or less (including the wedding party?

I was wondering.. are their really any alternatives for guys besides stuffy suits even if you aren't having a beach wedding?

I feel like I have a gazillion things to do today, sigh,

I'm so thankful for this site I stopped at LitteLady93's site and found the cutest shoes -actually the exact ones I wanted but saw for like 65-75 and had given up on. At cutesy.com they have them and cheap! (click on heels then on the keyword type "delicious") at this price I could choose the shoes my brms wear and not feel bad about making them buy :)

But at 3.5 inches I wonder.. I am not hemming my dress because of the ornate design so i need 1.5-2 inches lift to clear the floor. Does anyone have any good comments on this???

~oh and yes they are going to be red, like my name i'm a little feisty and i just ha---ve to show it even on my wedding day ;)

You know I just can't get enough of these wedding sites it seems. I'm just so happy and want to tell, EVERYONE!! :) WOW!!! 228 days and I'll be Mrs. RED ahhhh. I'm so excited.
