My Sister, God Bless Her Heart

So let me preface this by saying that I love my sister like there is now tomorrow. That said, I could have rung her little neck last week!

We have known about this wedding since October. She got her save the date in November. She got her invite at the end of March. So why would she wait until about 2 weeks ago to ask for the days off for the wedding, knowing she is in the damned thing? And why would you ask for a week off when you only have 20 hours of vacation time? And why cry and get upset about it when the job tells you no? You didn't plan ahead and you are unorganized to boot, so WTF?!? If I was the boss I would have told her that other people had already asked for it off too. If she would have asked when her invite came in, she would have been ahead of everyone else and probably would have gotten it off.

I am not mad that she can't come because of work. being able to feed herself and her daughter after the wedding is crucial. I am upset because she is such a procrastinator. And, you all that know how I am know that it put the icing on the cake when she called less than 20 minutes after I put in the programs! Luckily, two days later, the proof came in, but I was extremely aggravated for those two days. Even reminding myself that the day would end the same even if I had to walk down the aisle in flip flops and my pj's didn't help!

But I am over it now and I still love her. Just trying to update everyone on the haps and the craps. ;-) Besides, I learned that in the South you can say whatever you want about a person as long as you follow it with "God bless her heart!"
