:) We got this dress for my little sister, but in pink!

The bridesmaid dress below was voted out, too many bridesmaids were unsure. So ultimately we decided on this one. It is simple and elegant, but has a nice interesting design that seems to match the wedding dress. I hope it matches the dress as well as it does in the picture. I am very pleased that all of the bridesmaids, and even the groom, is happy with this decision. I'm skeptically hopeful about the color; it is not what I had in mind at first, but I think I like it. Hopefully all goes well when we go to the store Monday to see it in person. Until then, I am keeping my relief and excitement on hold....fingers crossed! : )

Where I live throwing rice is illegal, and I feel bad for the birds (the rice swells in their throats or stomachs and kills them painfully). Bird seed is discouraged by the church because the birds don't eat it all; the bird seed becomes soggy and litters the church entrance. I considered butterflies, but that would be too expensive. Bubbles were a classic option, but I recall complaints at the last wedding I attended that the bubbles could leave stains if they burst on clothing. Balloons are not only expensive, but hazardous to the environment. Knowing I had a really limited budget I set to thinking of free, or close to, options. Ultimately I decided on hydrangea petals. My mother-in-law and grandmother had hundreds of these dried flowers lining their yards. In addition, when you throw them, the petals swirl beautifully. The petals are harmless to the environment, wont stain, get stuck in your hair, need to be cleaned up, cause any pain, and best of all, free! I am considering waiting until season to pick the flowers, but it a gamble; I may not have the time that close to my wedding. The dried flowers are not as colorful, but, I think they are just as beautiful. I hope I was able to give someone some ideas! I have yet to decide what containers to put them in but when I think of something I will leave a post. :) Happy Planning!

One thousand dresses later, and I finally found the one. I am so excited I have finally bought my wedding dress, and I couldn't be more in love with it!!! I love all the detail and all the beading, it reflects so much light it is absolutely stunning!!! I ordered it in ivory, because I think it looks best with my skin tone. We bought it on sale right before it was discontinued! I can't wait till it comes in to bring my Grandmother to see it; I just know she will love it. It is very similar to what she wore for her wedding, which will make it all the more special. :)

I have been struggling for months now to find the perfect bridemaids dress!!!! I want something unique, but not something I will regret in hindsight. I love this dress!! I love the colors and the energy!!!!! The colorful crinoline is such a clever way to add a little color and too spice up your wedding with out making it seem clashy or miss matched. But on the other hand it is a bit poofy, and does remind me of a homecomming dress. One option I discused with the bridesmaids was making it black, (with all the colorful crinoline). I'm still not sure though. So let me know what you all think!! I have completely mixed opinions from my bridesmaids and a lot of unsures so your imput would really help!!! Thanks!
