Is everyone in your wedding party claiming to be broke?!?!?!
OMG, I know it is a recession and all but when someone asks you to be in their wedding or you volunteer than.....start saving at that very moment. I am so tired of everyone claiming not to have any money or complaining about the cost of items they need to purchase for the wedding. Good gosh!!!!! I have not asked anyone to spend more than I have ever paid being apart of other friends weddings. This is very frustrating and makes me want to od this whole thing solo dolo. Forget the flowergirls, bridesmaids and groomsmen. We should totally just elope or have a small reception for the immediate family only. That was my initial suggestion anyway but these same folks claiming not to have a dollar are the same ones that encouraged me to have this big wedding and insist on inviting people that need not come. When did this become their moment? Having a bridezilla moment and I am totally not like this! But damn be reasonable people!

Going to buy this outfit tomorrow!
I have been searching online for a one shoulder ruffle dress for engagement pics(outdoor, evening). I searched high and low for a reasonably priced dress and shoes. Finally found it @Dillard's. Will be visiting tomorrow to make that purchase as we will be taking the pics on Sunday!

Wedding Decoration
Flameless Candles
Found some flameless candles at Dollar Tree. They were a dollar for a pack of three. I bought fifteen to go in the tealight holders I bought last summer. This way I don't have to worry about the tealights burning out before the reception is over. I will of course have reall candles but those will definitely burn the entire night. I think I need to buy a few extras just in case. Check out how they look in the dark! Looks much better in person.

Resort or Cruise
I am really concerned that hubby and I will have to wait a little while to have our honeymoon. =*( I am really contemplating doing a honeymoon registry but don't really know the ins and outs just yet. Going on a cruise will be a much cheaper alternative but I would love, love, love to walk straight from our suite to the beach and have a butler. Decisions, decisions! I am gonna stay optimistic though because after all is said and done this time is all about us and we are currently doing everything for everyone else. So something good will come of it all, I just know it (beside the fact that we are getting married).

Flower Girls Dress
Which one should I choose?
So far I am deciding between the two of the dresses. I am going dress shopping again next Saturday, but just in case I don't find anything, help me choose between the two of these. Thanks ladies!
P.S. the first is similar fabric and color of the bridesmaids dresses(will add a ruffle slip for volume); the second has the bubble effect similar to my dress and the sash and flowers will be pink. |

This Floral masterpiece by Preston Bailey, and inspired by Monique Lhuillier , was the centerpiece at the Knot Gala in New York.
This dress was made with 5,500 flowers. (white Calla lilly, white hydrangea, white eskimo rose, pink Rosita vendela rose, phalaenopsis orchid, and gardenia) It was 11 feet high and 4 feet in diameter. It took 200 man hours to create. All I can say is; Only in New York! Photo by Christian Oath |
