Now i can share the dress with the world.

it was made for me... my alterations cost $75 cuz all they had to do was take an inch off the length, and put a bustle loop in the back.

defiantly NOT trashing this dress!!!!

This place is going to be FRIKIN AMAZING.
My Grandmother was kind enough to give me a week of her time share, ( i know what you are thinking, but hey, its saving us about $1500).
and after 2 weeks of searching the RCI site, we found this place

its out standing. its in the Riviera Maya. and it caters to honeymooners.
there is about 7 restaurants, and 4 bars and a disco.

its not a couples only place, its adults only. but they made a change and turned the side that is in the fore ground, into a "children welcome" place, called the aventura cove palace.
but as we are adults, we get full run of the resort. and we are going the first week when school starts. so i doubt there will be any little kiddies running around.

so i think skinny dipping is in order. lol

if you can afford it, this place would be a dream honeymoon for anyone.
but it could run you up to $3500-$4000. but we are paying $1800 (including the round trip plane tickets.)

if you dont mind trying out time shares, there are apparently places that you can look online, where people sell their weeks that they dont use, but be careful, make sure you trust who you are buying from.

ill just say that it was a slight hassle with the time share company, and i was going though my grandmother. but its all sorted out, and we are very excited to go on this trip together.

i should add, we will have known each other for almost 7 years by the time we go on this trip together, and it will be our first vacation together, that didnt involve driving in province to see family.

FIRST OUT-OF-COUNTRY TRIP TOGETHER...

The first picture is of my stunning engagement ring... good job jon!!
it wasnt what i was "expecting" (what ever that means after 6 years of dating). but its more then i could have ever thought would be possible.

the second is of my wedding band.
i know what you are thinking.. "how do they fit together?"
they dont. Jon and I decided (mainly me) that it would be a better choice for me to have 2 separate rings, because my engagement ring sits high of my finger. and the center diamond is almost flawless... so i would be deeply distraught if i was lost..
I work in retail.. and not your "folding-clothes-type" of retail..... i work at Costco, and its very hands on. As a result, i went with a band that mirrors my engagement ring that i can wear always, and when i go out some where special, i can switch it up.
unconventional? yes.... Unrealistic for some one who is accident prone and clumsy? No.

I do however have 36 diamond total for my wedding ring set.

and then there is my mans ring.
he wanted something with a diamond in it. we were going to go custom with the diamond from the ring my dad gave my mom when he proposed (they divorced 6 years later) but then we saw this one.
i think its beautiful. and it looks like a wedding band, unlike some we looked at that looked like a regular dress up ring.
his diamonds are set in white gold.

So i was floating thought the net looking for idea on whatever i could find.. and i saw this idea to turn all the wine glasses into little lamps.

what a great idea.

sadly if i add it, things will become too cluttered and complicated. so i personally can take advantage of this super cute idea... but maybe one of you guys can.
so i thought that i would post this and maybe help some one out.

they would be really easy to make.
just take some velum and some wire. use small amounts of glue to stick them together, twist and attach together at the ends...

voila!! mini mood lights.

I have SUPER thick hair.. so having my hair down in a July wedding would be like wearing a wool scarf to the wedding.. so i have to have the up-do..


i really hope that this is going to work.. i think it just means that i will have ALOT of bobby pins and hair spray.

Im not sure if the braids will be nice or to casual, but i think it would help keep my hair up.
i can never make any decisions. i always want everything. just like my gown. but surprisingly my gown does have everything i want. but thats another story

These are a few things that i have done for the wedding.

the first is of the wedding favors and place cards for tables.

the 2nd was of my "give-a-ways" (which is what we are calling the "center pieces" but the hall provides the center pieces so these will be on the cake table, and one person from each table will win it.. some how.

the 3rd is of the "wax seals" i made for our invitations.

the 4th is me hard at work.
