This is mrswilliams2b's Blue Wedding!

Well, I guess all my wedding plans have come to a hault. Well not actually but all the details have changed. Shon and I sat down to go over a budget and he wasnt too thrilled with all the costs that "WE" have to foot. To be honest neither was I. So he remember back when I was saying "Baby all I want is to be your wife". Blah Blah Blah. Now he is like, lets just got to Vegas and have something nice there. I went online and found several venues that'll host a wedding for little or nothing. What is most important to me are the pictures though. So, now I have to redo the wedding attire and pick a venue that's all inclusive. Maybe a hotel will work. Donno. One sad thing is the kids were so excited. I dont think I'll be flying them down to Vegas. We'll only do a few friends and get hitched.

By the way, I left out that we are still buying furniture for our home and painting walls and the kids need new beds (blah blah blah). So I suppose this is for the best. Any ideas!

As you can see, I took the pic sitting down. I've gained about 15 pounds since the baby that I cant get rid of. Going to the gym isnt an option because i just dont have the time. What I've learned is to put the spoon down when i'm finished eating. Yeah right! That depends on what I'm eating. LOL

Has someone order and "recieved" any dresses from Peridress? Just curious because I know it's a steal, but concerned about the quality.

I've finally posted some pictures that Christina of the Davidson Gallery took. She's located in League City, TX. The one with the frame is actually a frame she carried to the beach front. It is a gorgeous prop. I cant wait to see how the pictures turn out. Aren't the ones post just beautiful.

Ok, I stole this idea from misti2k2's page but I think it is a terrific idea. My mother is a decorator and she's done a multitude of weddings. I'm thinking of having her make this (in my color of course). I'd be using a variety of blue colors. Well maybe 3. From sky to ocean with just a touch of navy. She can even make the boutiners and bouquets for my maids, the table toppers and all. I thought about hiring someone to do this for me and let her enjoy the wedding. But when I mentioned that to her she looked abit disappointed. So, I think i'm going to go along and let her do it because I know what a terrific job she does. She takes this stuff so serious. Plus, I'd be saving tons of money. Michaels and Hobby Lobby, here we come.

Ok, he's changed his mind from the Parador to the Butler's Courtyard. I like this one too though, only it hardly has any room to dance. One good thing is it can be all inclusive. I'm not sure though. I kinda had my heart set on the other hall, but it isn't all inclusive. Ugh! I cant make my mind up and I'm almost about to change my wedding colors. One main thing he like about this site is they have a lodge set up for the guys, It has a big screen tv. games and leather couch and the whole nine yards. We get the spot for the entire day. They even said he can bbq in the back yard (which is huge) the morning of if he liked. I tell you they catered to him and he bought it. LOL

Ok, I am constantly surrounded by little girls. I have a 10 year old daughter who absolutely refuse to be a flower girl. Only, I keep running across flower girl dresses for her. She is rather short in height but she is pre-teenage. LOL I want her to feel just as good as I will feel on my big day. My dress is champagne in color and I found this champagne dress that she might like.

Tell me your comments PLEASE! Until then, I will continue my search.

Ok, I found this site online, www.pinkmarie.com that has flowergirl dresses.  I really like the second picture.  However, if I use the first dress, my mom can add champage colored flowers to the flower on the dress to tie things in. Not sure at this point but brainstorming. I want to have 2 flower girls.  One my neice and the other is Shon's neice.

So ladies, what do you think. I dont want to go with a typical all white flower girl dress with blue flowers.

I really love the first cake because number one, it isn't white. My dress is champagne in color. Then the different shades of blue flowers really looks nice. I'm not doing the tiffany blue/mocha theme. My theme is basically elegant antique. The round base, middle square,and topped off with a round top is nice. Still modern. Leave me a comment.

I've decided to have the unity sand at the wedding instead of the unity candle. To me it'll symbolize the coming together of our blended family. I have two children from my previous marriage. The unity Sand Ceremony symbolizes the joining together of our two lives that occurs at a marriage. Each of the individual vases of sand represents everything that the bride and groom bring to the marriage and the Unity vase comes to represent how the lives of the two individuals join and become one because of the vows and commitments they make to each other during the wedding ceremony.

Of course our sand will be blue and white.

One day after work, Shon asked me was I very tired. Of course since he works away from home I didnt want to disappoint him. I told him no I wasnt tired because I assumed he had something planned. Then we hopped in the car and he took me to pick out the my ring. I asked him why didnt he surprise me. He then reminded me of when he paid 400.00 for a coach purse that I took back. LOL

I'm so happy he let me pick out my ring. It is a 2 carat (reasonable) white gold with round diamonds circling the princess cut center. Awww....to die for. I love you honey.

The Parador, hmmm what can I say....

It is located in the historic museum district in Houston, TX. It actually was a Presbytarian church and converted to a banquet hall later. I chose this location because it is antique. The Parador was built in 1928 and they still kept some of the architectural artistry of that time. Thus, representing my theme.

The inside of the building seems like a dome. Plus you can still see what used to be the alter. So I think this will be good place to exchange vows.

I want a calli lilies in my wedding bouquet. However, I want to add some types of blue flowers to it. I also want roses to give it more fullness. This is an example the type flower I want. Not quite sure what kinda flower this is. If someone sees this post and know, leave me a comment. I'd really appreciate it.

One good thing is my mother does silk flowers. I can save a ton and have her do them. Then I can take my bouquet and have a nice arrangement in our home.

This is the dress I've chosen, it's kinda plain but very me...I'm so very happy. It has the vintage look and pleats. Very low cut in the front so it's still sexy...Shon's going to be one happy man.

I am really a simple chic. I think I found the dress for my girls. I think it's very tasteful. Of course the color will be in a soft blue. Most of my bridesmaids have girls (boobies) that they can lift up. LOL

I went to a bridal expo in Jan. and ran across several photograhers. Basically they were selling themselves. I then went home and googled to find a photograpy whom I thought would service my needs. Then I ran across Christina's web page. I was absolutely moved to tears. Her pics spoke to me and I've never looked since. I am very satisfied.

So, my advice is when you are searching dont stop until you are moved. I met with many vendors and had even spoke to Christina. However, her pics were worth a thousand words. I'm very grateful to have her capture our wedding day.

I had moved to Houston, TX from a small town in Louisiana in 2003. Being that I was going through some tough times, a divorce, and had 2 minor children, I wasnt interested in a relationship with anyone or dating. I was trying to learn my way around, work, and provide stability for my son and daughter. This would be the first time they'd be without their father. Needless to say, 9 mts later I was VERY lonely. I went out hoping to meet someone and I was very disappointed in what the "nightlife" had to offer. Guys were very rude and interested solely in "hooking up". I was walking with a girlfriend to my car and she fell. Then I looked up and saw him. He was with his brother. He must've just came in from work cause he had on a beanie hat, and work clothes. LOL Not attractive. Needless to say, the rest is history. We've been together 4 years, and have a 10 month old daughter. I am his right hand, and he is my left. He fulfills me. I'm very happy.

One evening, he asked if I was tired at work. Of course for him, I'll be energized. He wanted me to pick out the engagement ring because he wanted to make sure it was something I'd love to wear. Thus, the wedding planning has begun.
