Bridesmaids - Maid of HONOR-ZILLA - MSDIVA's Pink Wedding by Color Blog

Hi WBC fam, I am so pissed off right now I could scream. My maid of honor is such a drama queen. She is having issues with my decision on changing her dress! The first dress I picked out is simply gorgeous but all of my bm's are wearing them so I wanted to do something different with her dress and she did also. So I changed the color of the dress from bronze and chocolate to chocolate and bronze, that was a problem. She felt like that color would not look good on her she thought it would drown her out!!! So I completely changed her dress to a Alexia design and god forbid I should have never did that!! She honestly tripped out she told me that she seen herself in the other dress and this dress was a waste of money she is never going to wear it again and my response to her was thats fine all I need you to do is wear it for that day! Then she goes on to tell me she wants to be demoted to a bm because I am too controlling and I micromanage everything, and I want a say in everything(ITS MY WEDDING!!!!!!LOL), and she felt like she was not going to have time to plan my bridal shower and bacholorette party so she did not want the title of being a maid of honor!! Help me out what should I do,should I replace her or sit down and talk to her!! I think I am going to start back drinking after 21/2 years of not drinking!

give her what she is asking for... As a matter of fact tell her it's nto neccessary for her to be in it at all.... DRAMA is not for a wedding and there will be enough without your bestgirl giving you grief!!! I'm sure you have others that are close toyou that will not mind helping you have a great experience!!!

yeah, forget it. Just demote her, this girl's too much drama. I'm sure someone else would be honored to help plan the bridal shower and bac party. Good luck, girl! =)

I know EXACTLY what you are going through.
Except.. with my MOH she wants me to change everything for HER so it fits her needs & what she wants for the wedding instead of MY wants. She has been trying to change my mind about getting our bridesmaids dresses[ she wants to look around more ] She even tried to tell me that she'll order fresh flowers for the bouquets & bouts/corsages if i go with real flowers. NO i dont want real i want Natural Touch ones..Grrr.
Anyways I think personally shes too much DRAMA & like tunatuna said im sure someone else would be on cloud 9 if you asked them to be MOH instead!

lol she asked to be demoted?? maidzilla! I like the essence dress a lot! the colors are really pretty but i know that color and my skin tone would not look good...i would still wear it for my best friend if thats what she wanted tho...its not about the bridesmaids, its about the bride.

DEMOTE HER ASAP

You really don't have to have a MOH , just ask your BMS to all put together and plan your shower and B-party and call it a day.

She has some nerves asking to be demoted . I had a similar issue, because I wanted a small wedding with just close friends and family.I have lost 2 friends becuase they couldn't be in the wedding.

Yay! Give her what she wants, as the other ladies have said, and DEMOTE HER! Whose wedding is this??

I agree with the other brides, let her be a bridesmaid especially since she requested it. Honestly it's your wedding and she should wear whatever dress you pick (which is lovely by the way!). I have been in couple weddings and I would get whatever colour or style was asked even if it was something that looked terrible on me and I would expect the same condsideration when it's my wedding.

You need to take a step back and understand her but you also need to sit her down and tell her - you know it's not easy for her but it's ten times worst for you and if she could just try her best to make YOUR life easier. There must be a reason why you picked her as a maid of honor right?? If she won't budge and continues to be stubborn - kick her out completely!! Just remember look at the big picture and pick your battles - you have way too much to worry about!
