So my demand for ice sculptures was out of this world. I had to have a sculpture that tied into the Cinderella theme, and of course when my husband isn't working he likes to take a nice long sip on a beer, hence the groom's ice sculpture. But, the ice sculpture that meant the most to me was the memorial ice sculpture for my father and nephew that died in a house fire last year. These together really set the tone for my wedding, and I am still getting compliments on how beautiful my day was. Leave a note and tell me if any of you are using ice sculptures.

Our wedding bands match! I chose these rings to match the setting on my engagement ring. What do you think? My then fiance, picked out this beauty without my help. I think he did good in his selection, what o you think?

My bouquet was gorgeous. It was filled with Crystals and pearls. The bridesmaids flowers were spring mixes. See the photos tell me what you think.

The reception decor was absolutely magical. My decor was inspired by Preston Bailey's pink fantasy at the Waldorf Astora. I sort of changed the theme to fit my budget, but overall it definitely works. What do you think? Does this theme fit with the Cinderella feel?

My wedding cake was absolutely gorgeous! It was better than I could have ever imagined. There were several layers to the cake as you can see. My cake topper was a castle. The cake was delicious. Here are a few photos. The groom's cake is also included. The groom's cake was two 10" square dice. The dice were chocolate with pink dots.

Okay, so I have been all over the school system in my local area; and have met a lot of people.....but my budget will not allow all of those people. The wedding date is nearing, and people are asking where are their invitations. How should I include these people in the reception? I really want to accommodate up to 500 people, but the more I see, the more I see that I have not invited. How do I handle this situation? I am a rather friendly person, but I know my budget will not accommodate the entire parish, so how can I invite some, but tactfully let the others know they are not invited. Please advise!

I am so excited! I have been updating my blog all morning because I had a very productive weekend. I met with the coordinator who will be creating my favors. I am not sure what her title would be, but I just say that she is amazing. I am having a fairytale wedding titled, "Dreams Do Come True". So, I have been emphasizing the carriage throughout the wedding for all of my decor and accessories including the invitations. Well yesterday, she introduced to me an idea that I wanted to incorporate; however, had put on the back burner. She suggested that we create little pillows with "Sweet Dreams"....."Dreams Do Come True". She will also put our names and wedding date at the bottom of our pillows. These will be for the guest to hang in their car or somewhere as a lasting memory. Great idea to anyone who is thinking of last minute wedding detail.

My reception is going to be filled with pink drama. The tables will be adorned with white floor length table linens, and champagne and pink overlays. The centerpieces will be pink. Because the chair covers and table cloths would be white, I wanted to incorporate white into the place settings. I have found these gorgeous china patterns for the bridal party; however, I am thinking of going with a high grade plastic for guest. The entire reception is not a seated meal, and there will be guest that will be mingling while eating. I didn't want the china to get destroyed. As you can see from the photos, they have the same simple design; however, the pictures show two differnt sizes. Thus creating a wider or smaller band. Each place setting will be topped with a gold carriage wedding favor, and sat upon a gold charger. Does this add a certain degree of tackiness, or will this idea be okay? Please advise!

I am creating an elaborate design on a shoestring budget. The one thing that my budget does not allow for is lighting because of the price. Does anyone know where I can get any lighting or effects for my wedding. I have heard of the lighting cubes, but have not been successful in finding them. I have also seen the fiberoptic light, but what about lighting for a ceiling backdrop? Please advise if anyone knows of any internet or local sites with quick response.

Okay for starters, my wedding was supposed to be chocolate, champagne, and light pink. Because of tragedy in my immediate family, I decided to move the wedding back until August. Well, I thought that the pink was too light, so I changed the color to what I thought was going to be fuschia, chocolate, and champagne. Well, the dresses are in, and the fuschia is actually a lipstick pink, and does not look appealing with a light pink. The light pink could not be change because the dresses were alreay ordered. The flower girl dress is much lighter than it actually appears. The dress was supposed to be light ivory with light pink bow. I am a reck at this point in time because the lipstick and pink make me sea sick? What can I do to fix this situation.

P.S. there is no green in the wedding. When you save one photo, you save the entire thing. Also, the second dress was ordered with a chocolate sash.

This was my first choice; however, I wanted an invitation that I could customize and put my own wording into it, so I changed it. The invite is gorgeus, though.

I recently went in with my decorator to get a price quote for my dream wedding. The total price just for decor was close to 10k. I had to go back to the drawing table. So I purchased the book where I first notice my design. It is called Inspirations by Preston Bailey. I am going to recreate what I think a low budget version of his orignal "Pink Fantasy at the Waldorf Astoria" would look like. I am taking different versions of what I like about the design, and working very closely with the designer to create a design with lots of little details. I am having three 5' tables joined together, and two 8' tables butted together. You will have to wait to see photos. Simply magical!

Just wanted to share some photos of the accessories for the miniature bride. This is her tiara, wedding dress, shoes, and veil. Although the little girl in the picture is cute, she is not my miniature bride.

I love this wedding cake, but after pricing the cake realized that it was out of my price range. Just the topper on the cake can range fom 250 - 400 us dollars. To replicate this cake, It would have cost anywheres from $1500.00 to $2200.00. Beautiful cake, but scary price.

I liked the idea of being unique, but once I started blogging, I found out that candy buffets are becoming a popular trend with weddings. So I decided to go fishing for ideas. I have found the style that I would like to use; however, I need to decorate the table with linens and accessories. I am using white floor lenght table cloths, an pink and chocolate overlays. (I actually borrowed a Preston Bailey design, an tweeked it to my budget and color scheme.) What do you suggest for the decor?

The theme for my wedding is "Dreams Do Come True...." I decided to use cinderella's carriage as symbolism, and swarovski crystals as that wow factor. Now that things are almost complete, I have some final questions? For starters, flowers or not? The groom will have a boutonierre made entirely of swarovski crystals and swarovski pearls. His boutonierre will match my tiara. However, I wanted to distinguish the groom from his male attendants. I chose a flower to help make the distinction. The flower is a mini rose. What do you think?

These are the two styles of dresses that I have chosen. The two piece gown is the gown my bridesmaids will be wearing. The color will be chocolate. This dress is by Jordan Fashions. This is a beautiful gown; however, please be aware of the load underneath. There are several layers, as well as a slip for fullness.

The second gown is for my maid of honor. The dress is the same as pictured. It has a lipstick sash around the waist. This dress is also from Jordan fashions.

I am attempting to match these dresses with flowers, but have been very unsuccessful. I have chosen three types of flowere for bouquets. They are the calli lillies, mini roses, and stephonotis. Does anyone have any pictures of bridesmaids bouquets using these flowers? What type of arrangments would you suggest?

This is very similiar to my wedding bouquet. The difference is that my bouquet has pink edge roses, and the same type crystals that my tiara and gown has.

I love this hairstyle, but I am not sure if it woul work with my tiara. Originally I wanted a wedding day hair style with half up and half down. Can anyone offer any suggestions?

I found someone who was able to let the gown out, and the gown now fits. This is the dress that I will be wearing to the wedding. However, the last store will only give a store credit for the new gown that was purchased.

This is my tiara. It recently came in through UPS, and photos simply cannot do this piece justice. However, I was recently told by someone that the majesty that I sought may cause problems for the photographer. Has anyone else had this sort of problem, or can anyone give any suggestions to fixing this problem if it is indeed true.

I found a wedding gown back in January for my wedding. I am not a traditional bride, so the gown had to have color. The gown I found was a champagne gown with pickups. Well, the wedding date is almost here, and after gaining about 10 pounds, could no longer fit the gown. In a panic, I went around shopping for another gown. The new gown is champagne and gold. It does not have pickups though. All of the girls in my wedding will have pickups. Do i need pickups, or can the gown without pickups be just as pretty.

I would like to find some colors that will work well in the attached bouquet. My wedding colors are pink, chocolate, and champagne. I would like to keep the greenery, or maybe even add chocolate fabric with a pink ribbon or bow. What do you suggest?
