Double booked wedding venues
Are there any brides out there in the Tampa Bay Area who have friends and family looking to book a place for a wedding, party,rehearsal dinner, or baby shower? I need help recovering the cost of a deposit at a wedding venue at Pebble Creek Golf and Country Club. Long story short put down a deposit at Pebble Creek because at the time the FH and I didn't have the funds for Davis Island. Once funds became available ie a new job better pay, we opted to go back to our first love Davis Island even though we had already put down a deposit at Pebble Creek. Now we are booked at two places the wedding cooridnator Kim is willing to help us keep our deposit if we can find someone to take over our Nov 6, 2010. If anyone knows of anybody in the Tampa Bay Area looking for a beautiful venue. Please post and I can give you more details.

Dress Dilemma
Does anyone know how to go about buying a maid of honor dress for someone who just had a baby.? My maid of honor is expecting (yeah) a baby in August (whew wedding date 11/14/10) and we are having problems as to how we should go about ordering a dress. Should we try now while she's still small or should be just wait until after the baby is born?

Okay, I've got to stop playing games and get my weight under control. Not just for this wedding but for my over all health. This is the longest time that I've let myself sit at over 250 bls. Cause I aint scared I'll say it , 267 LBS. I can do this more so for that fact that I've gained weight before and lost it all I went from a 22 to a 12 and stayed that way for 3 yrs. I can say for sure the reason for my recent weight gain is inactivity. I"ve always had a job where I was on my feet and only sat for short periods of time. Now that I sit behind a desk for more than 5 hours a day the weight has crept back up and my fashion style with it. I mean who wants to dress sexy when your walking around feeling like a sack of uncut potatoes? I want out of this mold for good. Come this Friday hell or high water ( sorry people in the NorthEast) I'm going to get up before I go to work and WORK OUT !!! The FH has promised to go bike riding w/ me 30 mins a day 3 times a week. Whether or not he rides with me I'm going to do this thing. I'l update you ladies in 2 wks w/ my weight. Those of you who are looking for a support system I'm sure we can put together a community of support via email. If your interested let me know in your posts.

Brown dresses
Alright after much thought and reading various comments (thanks). I'm going to have to go back to green dresses. I'm not going to complain and or whine about this (sniffle) simply because my first choice of dress was green. I just happened to have fallen into the "ooh I love that dress trap" which caused me to change dress colors. I mean I'm black/African American and all that brown just isn't going to do my girls (bridesmaids) justice. A lot of the pictures I found on the internet showed the girls dresses blending into the mens tuxes. Or a sea of brown with no true definition of the dresses, which is especially true when the dresses are all brown with no other color. I'ld say back to the drawing board but I already have a selection of green dresses in my repertoire. Therefore,ladies when you are selecting your bridesmaids dresses please take into consideration how they are going to look when photographed. Check out my samples and see for yourself.

Pictures and the color brown
Okay, I have a dilemma someone just mentioned that my bridal party pictures would look better if the girls wore green instead of brown. Has anyone out there gone to a wedding where the bridesmaid wore brown? If you have can you tell me how the pictures turned out? Or a site where I can look at sample pictures.

Dentist or Do it yourself kit
Alright, I need to get my teeth whitened. I want to get it done but I don't want to pay all that money out to get mine done and the FH's teeth done. Has anyone out there ever had their teeth whitened in the mall, at the dentist, or used a whitening kit? Sometime this week I'm going to start calling around and get some some prices. Hopefully this newest endeavor isn't something that's going to put cracks in my piggy bank.
