My BM toasting flutes
Hello Ladies:
I made these glasses for my BM's myself because I just couldn't see paying for them. It was not an easy undertaking to say the least and half way through the process, I thought about shelling out that extra money to have them done by a professional or not doing them at all. But here it is, I need honest opinions please? |

Wedding Dress
I am an offical Maggie bride!!
I am so excited because I just picked up my Maggie Sottero wedding gown. I still need to have it altered but I am waiting until about one month out just in case I lose weight (hopefully). I got a really good deal on the dress because it was discontinued. Now I have to find my jewely which I will hopefully pick out this weekend. 95 days to go and counting!!

Hi Ladies:
I have been a busy bee and Michaels and Hobby Lobby have been my hangout spots. Over the weekend I made these totes for my BM's. I also made some totes for my flower girls in my accent color purple. Of course I had to make a tote for myself...hee hee |

Got our toasting flutes done!! Now for our table names
I finally completed my first DIY wedding item: Our toasting flutes. I found the set on sale for $9.99 at Michaels after looking at a rhinestone set in Hobby Lobby for $40. It didn't take me long to bling these but I finished with sticky fingers...lol. I would like to add something to the bride and groom names but I am afraid of messing them up. Any suggestions???
The second picture are our table name cards. I am naming them for each attribute of marriage or at least some of them..I think I am going to use the plate stands to hold them. Tell me what you think? |

Cake Dummies
Ok Ladies, just looking at this cake you can quickly tell that it would cost upwards of $1,000 to make. With this not being an option for my wedding budget, I am seriously considering a Fake Cake that looks like everything I would want. I have done some research and apparently you can have these cakes made with a secret compartment that houses a couple of slices for you and the hubby to eat during the cake cutting. Then the cake is wheeled away and slices of a much lesser expensive sheet cake are brought out and served to the guest. Not a bad option when you consider that a sheet cake probably tastes much fresher than a wedding cake and your guests don't have to wait for someone to slice them a piece of cake and if there is any waste, you don't feel so bad because you didn't pay alot for the sheet cake.
My question is: Does anyone know where I can find out about the secret compartment that I mentioned. I haven't been able to find a tutorial about it, just sites that mention the option. Thanks Ladies. |

Now this is a great idea if you are serving cupcakes!!
I am having cupcakes at my wedding and I was looking at packaging like the cupcake boxes and liners. For a large wedding this could get too be expensive, but this bride from Pinterest had an awesome cost effective idea that I am going to do for those prepackaged cupcake favors.
Sorry about the color,for some reason it didn't show up, but they used 9oz. plastic tumbler cups, placed the cupcakes inside and wrapped with plastic wrap. She even added a plastic spoon and tied it with a bow. I am going to splurge on the cupcake wraps in the damask print so this should come out pretty cute in the finished product. Gotta love all of the awesome DIY ideas out there. |

Has anyone considered framing their wedding dress?
I am an advid Pinterst fan and I came across a pin that I wanted to share with all of you. You know how we can pay to have our wedding dresses perserved in a bag? Well after spending thousands of dollars on a dress, why not frame it and hang it up somewhere in your home. I am giving this some serious consideration.

Bridesmaids
Finally decided on bridesmaids dresses.
After many dresses and several months in the making, I have finally decided on my BM dresses. The dresses will be in turquoise and the swatch card shows the color as very vibrant I just hope that thats what they will look like when they arrive. One of my BM's ordered her dress and it should be here the end of the month. I am keeping my fingers crossed that they look like the picture. I will post the dress as soon as it arrives.

I am wanting to DIY my bridal shoes with either clear or dark purple rhinestones, but I wanted to find a pair of shoes that would have the style that I would love after I finish blinging them. I really like the bow in the back. What do you all think? I really liked this pair because it has the blue bottom so this could be my something blue!!
