Ask a Question
Anyone else having wedding dreams/nightmares?

My wedding is a year away, but yet I'm having crazy wedding dreams. I've had dreams before that I was getting married but my groom never had a face! lol, weird right? Everything seemed to go as planned in them though. The first one I had since I've been engaged the wedding was a a hotel (not my venue), totally different color scheme (variations of pink). All the dream consisted of was me walking passed the reception hall which was absolutely gorgeous, probably better than I imagined or can afford, lol. Then I went to my bridal suite to get dressed, then I was back in the hall dancing with guests. Never did see my fiance or anyone i knew for that matter.

The most recent dream I had I was at my actual venue and I was running late. Everyone was there before me and I came rushing in with the back of my dress open & not laced up. My mom finally laced my dress up and we began to line up in the lower level. Then I began to get frustrated because guests were walking around the lower level instead of being seated. They were seeing me in my dress and snapping pictures and I was turning into a pouty, irritated, and yelling bridezilla. I just wanted someone to escort them out of there and into their seats. Then the music began to play (not the music I chose) and my mother was by my side as if she was walking me out (which she's not). I could see outside where the ceremony was taking place and it was a bright & beautiful day. The grandparents & parents were escorted out and then it was my turn. I started to walk towards the aisle and i woke up!!! I was so angry that i couldn't finish my dream & see how my wedding day turned out! lol. I tried to force myself back to sleep, and have been successful at times, but not this time. Once again I didn't get a chance to see my finace's face. Now I'm starting to fear that i'll be left standing at the alter. LOL. Have you had any interesting wedding dreams/nightmares?

LOL you know sometimes you just have to laugh. I know exactly what you're talking about. Your dream is similar to the first one I had. It's like whatever can happen, will happen. I wrote a blog similar to this feel free to check it out. But yes, the bizarre dreams are very common for the bride especially as it gets closer to the wedding.

I'm going to definately check out your blog. I expected this closer to the wedding, not 13 months before! lol. But I'm looking forward to the next dream and what happens, now I'm dream obsessed.  Maybe I'm being prepared for something!!! Now I just scared my self!!!

Dreams are just dreams. It could be a subconscious concern. But don't drive yourself nuts about these dreams. You've been doing a lot of wedding planning so the timing isn't an issue on this. It' s just that the wedding is precedent in your life. So just like with dreaming about work, family, friends...you'll dream about your wedding.
