A little about the boy...
high school sweethearts <3
Throughout this whole wedding planning it has been all about me... But let me share a little bit about the boy who is behind the girl:
Seven years ago this guy stole my heart... We met when I was a freshman in highschool and he was a sophomore. He was the hot football jock who made my heart melt. My highschool and college life was consumed with my soccer games and his football games. He was my first love and now will be my last. He is the perfect mixture between that bad boy every girl loves and the caring and sweetness that every girl needs. He cares about family above all things and has a passion for fitness and athletics, two things we both have in common. When he smiles, I smile. He does everything in his power to make everyone around him happy, especially me. He couldn't care less about these wedding details, what color linens, what kind of cake, what kind of tie. He tells me all the time the only thing he cares about is that he is marrying me. *sigh* He reminds me of the important things in life and keeps me focused on the true reason why I am planning this wedding. I have loved him ever since I was 15 and even more today. What about you girls? Are there any other highschool sweethearts out there? |

Wedding Decoration
I <3 Garden Ridge!!!!
I found these great items all at Garden Ridge... I looooooove Garden Ridge. I have found so many great things there for my wedding. The first two pictures are candle holders that I think I am going to use down the isle. I bought 10 I believe. Now I just need pink and orange candles for them. I love these! The third picture was an AWESOME deal! I bought around 20 of them. I haven't decided where exactly I'm going to put these. I still need to get candles to go in them. I believe candles and flowers are the two things that make a wedding and reception gorgeous. The fourth picture are candle holders we are going to put on the buffets. All these items need to be cleaned obviously. They're a little dusty. But I just wanted to share the deals I found with you. If any of you ladies have a Garden Ridge in your town I highly recommend it. All these items will be for sale too after my wedding if any are interested :) 48 days to go!!!

My mom has been working so hard on these arrangements. It's still a work in progress but I think it's looking so good!! We are having two large arrangements like the one shown and two smaller arrangements at the end of the isle where my fiance and I will stand. I also attached a couple pictures that were my inspiration. What do you guys think? (Ignore all the extra flowers you see around the room. Our basement is COVERED in them.)

Neat idea!!!!
I saw this on weddingchicks.com. Now this wedding favor is so unique and awesome! I know my entire family would absolutely LOVE this favor. We hand out scratch offs to everyone in the family at Thanksgiving and Christmas. We are BIG scratch off-ers... And I also love how they included a lucky penny in the packaging too! I'm already doing a candy buffet as my favor.... But this is something I just might have to add if I can come up with a little extra money :) Love it! Had to share :)

Wedding Invitation
Trial...
It took me FOREVER to find just a plain basic flat invitation kit. I had the template on my computer (thanks to ccranetobe and her amazing help) and I didn't need any kind of design on an invitation. Well I FINALLY found some at Target. As soon as I got home I started trying to print. Here's what it looks like right now... Unfortunately the box of invitations I found didn't have any reply cards with it :( Now I'm on the hunt for those! Do you ladies have any idea where I can find some? I also can't figure out how to get rid of the small space at the bottom of my invitation. I have taken all the margins off. I cannot figure it out! Any advice?

Sephora is Heaven!!!
I had originally decided to have my hair dresser do my make-up on my wedding day. I thought it would be fun and less stressful. I went to see her for a make-up trial. After she finished I looked in the mirror and it was..... just meh ok..... Since she is a friend I couldn't tell her that I didn't really like it. And to top it off I was shocked at the end of the trial when she told me I owed her $45!!!! Jeeeeeze! Just for a make up trial??? She didn't do anything really special. I'm not going for a dramatic look with dark smokey eyes or anything. It's going to be outside during the day in the summer. I just want a nice natural glowing look.
So I was determined to find amazing make up that I could use for myself, so I could do my own make-up for FREE. I've never really been the girl to splurge on this kind of stuff but I wanted to make an exception for this important day. I walked into Sephora and the girls there were AMAZING! They helped me find perfect make-up for the exact look I am going for on my wedding day. They walked me around the store applying different eye shadows and lip gloss. But my FAVORITE product that I walked out of there with was this HD foundation. It was $40 and worth every single penny!!! It matches my skin perfectly and makes it look flawless. It's unlike anything I've ever put on. I am in LOVE with all my new make up. I HIGHLY recommend this foundation girls. I promise you will fall in love with it. If any of you are interested... Here is what I purchased: - HD Liquid Foundation in Medium Beige- $40 - HD Microfinish Powder- $30 (A MUST!!! This makes your make up last alllllll day. I love this stuff!!!) - Foundation brush- $25 (Applies foundation perfectly) - Stila eye shadow in Kitten- $18 (GORGEOUS!!!!!) - Make up For Ever eyeshadow in Beige 76- $19 - Fake Eyelashes- $8 (Gorgeous and natural looking) - LipFusion Infatuation Lipgloss in La Lip Jolie- $29 (Love it!) Yes I ended up walking out of there spending $180. But this is the best purchase (other than my wedding dress) that I have made for my wedding day. I love putting on my make up now : ) And I will walk down that isle with confidence.... Now I need to purchase my Crest Whitening strips and I will be all set!!! |

Unique Gift Ideas
My FH and I really want to get our guys something unique. I think the beer mugs and flasks are getting kind of old. So I went searching for some ideas...
(1) I saw this idea on the wedding bee and apparently it's pretty popular! I think it's such a cute... I mean manly.... idea :) Steak branding irons!!! Whenever they cook a steak they can brand their initials, favorite team mascot, nascar number, etc. on the steak! (2) Picutre 3... Do any of your groomsmen smoke cigars? I found this on groomstop.com. It includes everything you need to have and know about the cigar smoking experience. (3) My FH and his groomsmen love to golf... This is a great idea! I got this one from a fellow WBC Bride who has crossed over to the Mrs. side... golf head covers and have the guys names embroidered on to them! Do you ladies have any other unique ideas? |

I am just about finished with my bridesmaids and MOH gifts. I found the towels at TJ Maxx. The polka dotted towels are for my two MOHs. I got their flip flops from Walmart. The pearl jewelry I'm going to ask that they wear with their dresses on the wedding day. I also bought their heels I'm going to ask them to wear on the wedding day as well. I'll post a picture of the whole outfit when the dresses come in. I'm still looking for a super cute pink and orange beach bag, or some kind of bag like that. I still have some little things to get to fill their bags with. I'm thinking just little bottles of body spray and lotion from bath and body works. Or those new car air fresheners from Bath and Body works that are only like $5. What do you guys think? Any good ideas on where I can find cute bags for a decent price?

I found this idea in a magazine. It's so easy and I thought it was so cute and perfect for a summer outdoor wedding. I ran out of lemons by the time I got to the third vase. But I just wanted you girls to get the idea :) This is going to be the set up for our lemonade, tea, and water table. What do you think?
