No Father/Daughter Dance
Well ladies I only have 5 more days before I am Mrs. Davis and I am so excited. But, I need your help with something. My uncle will be walking me down the aisle therefore we will be doing the uncle/niece dance at the reception. I have no clue what song to have the DJ play.
My uncle is more like a big brother since we are only eight years apart. We have a very strong bond that will never be broken. We talk twice a week over the phone and see each other at least once a week. So if anyone has any suggestions please help your fellow bride. ***man down, bride in distress*** |

Jeans @ Wedding???
Is there a such thing called "appropriate wedding attire" for guests? One of my bridesmaids just informed me that her date will be wearing jeans to the wedding. I was a little irked when she first told me, but am I even going to notice him?
At this point in the game I dont need to stress about small thing that I have no control over, but I wanted to throw it out there to see what you ladies think. I also have a co-worker who thinks it is ok for him to wear white to the wedding. My boss has told him "no one should wear white at a wedding unless they are the bride and groom." Is this a big deal to you? |

Premarital Counseling...Whose doing it???
Since we don't belong to a church, my FH and I asked my FMIL's Pastor to marry us, but since we have only met him a couple of times he advised us to start some premarital counseling. This way he gets to know us better and vice versa.
I think we have learned so much about each other. I mean after 13 years you would think we would know each other inside and out, but boy was I wrong. Our first assignment was to write our likes/dislikes for one another and not share them until our second meeting. When I told my girlfriends about this assignment most of them said "this could get ugly". They were way off, we laughed at our dislikes and iI got a little emotional on most of his likes. I realized how much he appreciates the little things I do. I must say up to this point counseling was the best part of the planning, we actually have fun in our sessions. I am a little sad we are approaching our final session. Is anyone else partaking in premarital counseling, if so how do you like it? |

To Change or Not To Change?!?!
Ok so I have been browsing at reception dresses for the past month or so just to get an idea of what I want, but the more I look the more I think I want to keep my wedding gown on.
I mean, we take so long to pick out our wedding gowns just to wear them for what an hour, maybe two? I love my dress so much, I feel like I am betraying her by looking for another one...LOL! Sounds crazy right? Well if I decide to change it will be one of these 3 dresses, in ivory of course! Help me out ladies. Will you be changing into a reception dress or rocking the night away in your wedding gown? |

Friend Makeover After the Wedding!!!
Well WBC brides it is really sad to say, but after my wedding I will be having a serious friend makeover.
My BM's have took me through the ringer during this entire planning process. I would have never guessed in a million years that my girls would act this way. I thought I would stress about what linen to pick, finding the perfect dress or getting my FH to help with the planning, but none of the above ever came into play. I have been dealing with BM's not wanting get their makeup done professionally, telling me they ordered dresses and shoes and never did, not making time for BM's meetings, but clubbing everyday of the week. I don't get it! Am I asking for too much? Well with only 56 days left all dresses and shoes have been ordered and picked up. Dress fittings have started and shoes are in the process of being dyed. I have collected all money for the makeup artist, FINALLY after asking for it for TWO MONTHS!!! Hotel rooms have been booked and I am a little more at ease with everything. Sorry for the long post, just needed to vent a little. |
