Tissue Balls! (Cheaper than lanterns!)
I snatched this idea from another bride, but I totally love it.
My cake is going to be in the center of the reception hall and I though if I hung 3 - 5 tissues balls at different lengths above the cake it would look amazing! What do you think? They also seem very simple to make...and cheap!!! How to Make the Pom-Poms You'll need tissue paper and 24-gauge white cloth-covered floral wire. Hanging Pom-Poms 1. Stack eight 20-by-30-inch sheets of tissue. Make 1 1/2-inchwide accordion folds, creasing with each fold. 2. Fold an 18-inch piece of floral wire in half, and slip over center of folded tissue; twist. With scissors, trim ends of tissue into rounded or pointy shapes. 3. Separate layers, pulling away from center one at a time. 4. Tie a length of monofilament to floral wire for hanging. tags:

My Inspiration Eifel Tower Vase with Gerberas ![]() ![]() |
Decoration
Table Centerpieces
This first photo is my inspiration for my tables at the reception. Of course it will be less elaborate as I just cannot afford this. Some things are different as well.
Instead of brown linens we are just having ivory. The napkins will be chocolate brown. The vase itself will be an eifel tower vase like in the second photo. It is 18" (1.5ft) high which is tall and elegant! I read somewhere tall centerpieces give the wow affect as soon as you walk in the room, low centerpieces give the wow affect when you are at the table. The eifel tower vase will have 2 gerberas in it at different heights. (An ivory and pink gerbera) There will also be chocolate brown curly stuff sticking out. I tried it at a store and it looks awesome. Not as fancy as the first photo but alot nicer than the 2nd. You just have to trust me on this and try to imagine. The Vase will be placed on a 12" round mirror with 5 tealight candles placed around it! The whole setting looks gorgeous. Wine glasses, and bread plates will be on the table, with chocolate napkins, and maybe coffee mugs. I can't wait to see the finished product! To get the green on the table we will have our fudge wrapped in sage green tool with chocolate ribbon! I actually made a favour sample! They are so cute! I will have to take photos and post them. I also finished my isle runner monogram which looks awesome, and I'll post photos of all the fun things I got in the mail too! tags:

HELP! I can't decide between menus and I need to decide ASAP!
If you were a guest at our wedding which would you prefer??? Please do me a favour and read both. I really can't decide. Menu 1 is what we currently have, but it only has 1 meat which really bothers me. I chose it so we could have the chocolate fountain. Menu 2 is Greek (Yum). It has 2 meats, lamb skewers and chicken skewers.
MENU OPTION #1 Tableside: assorted crusty breads with creamy butter Buffet Dinner: wild greens with strawberries, pine nuts, goat cheese sweet pepper and wild rice pilaf herb roasted potatoes fricassee of summer vegetables slow roasted chicken quarters “Sweet Things” Milk chocolate fountain with biscotti and summer fruit MENU OPTION #2 Tableside: spiced chevre on grape tomato and humus pita bread Buffet Dinner: greek village salad a salad of tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, sweet peppers and lettuce with feta pasta salad of bacon, scallions, spring vegetable with a garlic pepper dressing herb roasted potatoes grilled chicken kabobs grilled lamb skewers “Sweet Things”: strawberry lemon shortcake Both menus have raspberry lemonade, organic coffee & organic tea *Update: I asked to have a second meat put on the first menu but it would be $5-$8 more per person. Would menu 2 be better if I did a chocolate fountain with the Greek? That's only a bit more expensive! tags:

our cake cake topper ![]() ![]() |
Cake
I've finally decided! This is our cake!!!
Isn't this just e-x-q-u-i-s-i-t-e?!
I know it doesn't totally go with our wedding style but I love it sooooo much! I just have to have it. However instead of strawberries I will have pink rose buds which will draw in our color scheme. It is going to be in the place of honour...the center of the reception hall! I can't wait. :D I bought the cake topper in the 2nd photo. (of course in an R). I hope it won't be too much? Since Dave is not a big fan of chocolate and I don't like Vanilla we are going to do a carrot cake with cream cheese filling. This is what my mom did at her wedding so it is something special we can incorporate in to our wedding :) tags:

My Wedding Ceremony Inspirations
Photo 3 - I will have an isle runner leading up onto the platform. At the entrance to the sanctuary will be our mongram painted on. It will be the first thing people notice as they step inside to be seated.
Photo 2 - Next there eyes will be caught by tall iron topori holders from which pink/ivory flowers will be hanging with ivory or chocolate ribbon. It will look very similar to this photo. There eyes will continue up to the front where hopefully they will be stunned... The first photo is very similar to how the front decorations will look for my wedding. First off it is the same location our weding is taking place at. (Our decorations will not be as eleborate however since we cannot afford it.) Secondly I will be drapping fabric from the ceiling and drapping fabric on the stairs with candles. -For the back drop there will be 3 strips of ivory and 2 strips of chocolate satin so the backdrop will go ivory, chocolate, ivory, chocolate, ivory. The same as this photo except only 5 not 7. -I will have only 2 pillars with flowers on top covered in ivory satin. These will be placed in front of the chocolate fabric strips. Hanging in front if the ivory will be brown ribbon with a bunch/ball of pink daisies at the end. -The registry table will be covered in ivory satin. Simple - The stairs will be drapped with chocolate satin and have simple tealights on it with ivory rose petals scattered around. My bridesmaids will be in green and my flower girls in ivory. It will be so beautiful! I can't wait! The best part is my florist and decorations coordinator are totally on board for this and love these ideas! We work so well together. It is going to be simply amazing :) tags:

Bridal Party Emerg Kit! Any more suggestions???
I bought this cute little bag online for the wedding day for me and my girls. I was thinking of buying a big tote but liked this because it had a draw string. We are going to carry all our 'possible emergency supplies' in here!
Mints Gum Lotion Chapstick Lip gloss pads and tampons? Advil Bandaids/liquid bandaids* Tide stick Mini can of hairspray Bobby pins Safety pins Camera Cash Kleenex* nail clippers* tweezers* power/energy bar* bottled water* If there is room I may throw in a coupla granola bars or something too. I'm sure the girls will be bringing bags of their own stuff too. This is just the 'group' emerg bag! hehe I think it is so cute and such a great idea! You never know what may arise on the wedding day. Any thing I'm missing in this bag??? I'll star* anything I add from people's suggestions. The 2nd bag I bought as our beach tote for our honeymoon :) tags:

Flower Girls: I found the cutest flower girl t-shirts I ordered online. I just got them these morning! So adorable! Junior Bridesmaids: Engraved jewelery box I have yet to price this out so we will see. It all depends on how much it costs. Groomsmen: The KEG gift cards....men like nothing better than food! Well at least Dave's groomsmen. & they all love the Keg. However Dave's guys said they don't even expect anything so I'm leaving it up to Dave if he gets them gc's or not. Wedding music |
Wedding Music!
I think I have it all figured out! Let me know what you girls think!!!
All my music will be live. I have musicians to play the piano, keyboard, trumpet,
flute, guitar, bass, and drums! Very exciting. PRELUDE: Various instrumentals (mostly clasical) whatever Ryan my pianist wants Also including "Only Hope" and "You Raise Me Up" right before the ceremony begins PROCESSIONAL: Entrance of the Groom and Groomsmen: "I Can Only Imagine" by MercyMe ... I love the first verse. Entrance of the Bridesmaids: "Canon In D" by Pachebel...played by Ryan with various other instruments probably piano, strings and maybe flute Entrace of the Bride!: Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring!! (copying version by Celtic Women) The one on my playlist is totally not the right version. Listen to the youtube video below. These girls sound like angels. Anyway I don't want singing as I walk down the isle, but I love this song with a PASSION! However it wasn't quite right just as an instrumental. So I am walking down the isle to the beginning of it including the singing, except it will be played live of course. It will start out as instrumental (strings) and then exactly the way it is in the song my MoH will sing/hum the first part (lalalaaaaaalalalaaaaalalaaaala etc). She will then stop and the song will continue playing in instrumental until I am at the front. It will be so perfect! Rachel has the prettiest, lightest voice and takes voice lessons for professional singing! I tried walking to a bunch of different songs and none of the others were quite right. This one made me smile sooooooo much! I love it! :) Signing of Registry: "When God Made You" by Newsong - Ryan and his sister Shanna will be singing this. They are both very talented and sound awesome together. This song has some cheesy parts but it means alot to me. The part where the girl sings is my favorite. It is my promise to Dave and there is alot of meaning hidden in those lines for me and Dave. Pronouncement of Mr. and Mrs. David Roy!!!/Walking out of the church: "Trumpet Voluntary" - This will be played by our friend Nathaniel...a professional trumpet player and highschool music teacher. He offered and really wants to play so we thought hey why not. The version we are planning on using is below. Reception: "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" - one of my bm's will probably singing this at the reception. I have left it up to her what she preforms. tags:

My bridesmaids dresses |
Bridesmaids
Dresses
Well for those of you who have been following my blog from the beginning I should explain. I'm not sure if I have yet. I'm back to green bm dresses! Originally it was green than I switched to brown and finally I found the perfect green material. So my girls are in green dresses and I'm decorating with ivory and brown accents. My flowers are in ivory and various shades of pink.
The dress at the side is was my girls will be wearing, except in green fabric of course! They chose the long formal dress with a small train over a tea length one I had chosen. I love it either way! To make it less plain we are adding a sash and a sequined clasp. It is beautiful and goes very nicely with my dress. I made a sample wedding at davids bridal, but it is not quite the right color green. Mine is more of a sage green. Nothing quite like it anywhere else. I have looked everywhere for the shade of green we are using. http://www.davidsbridal.com/dyw/details_public.jsp?w=HEGKCMAAAH&v=HFDFACCAAC I can't seem to save the thing so use the above link to see my wedding! I actually have 4 groosmen but I wanted to show my flower girl and there are 2 flower girls not one. Plus I have a junior bridesmaid who will be dressed in the same color as my bms! tags:

Reception
We are having a chocolate fountain!!!
Dave and I are certainly lucky ducks! One of our contacts from our church owns a professional catering company and he has agreed to do our wedding free of charge!!! We are of course paying for the cost of food! But that is it! No extra charges. He is giving us his time and equipment for free! SOOO nice of him
We are having a fairly simple meal because we are on a tight budget and food is always the biggest expense. I also wanted a chocolate fountain which is about an extra $600 so we needed to cut down elsewhere. I didn't think we were going to be able to have one, so I was so excited when we found a menu option that allowed us to! Here it is, a served buffet: Tableside: assorted rolls and herbed butter Buffet: -Wild greens with strawberries, pine nuts, goat cheese (Yum!) -Sweet pepper and wild rice pilaf -Herb roasted potatoes -Fricassee of Summer vegetables -Slow roasted chicken quarters (The only thing lacking in this meal is a 2nd meat. If we can afford it we will add roast beef. We'll see) Sweet Things: Milk Chocolate Fountain with biscotti, cream puffs and summer fruits. We are also planning on serving our wedding cake (Carrot!) Yum Yum Yum!!! My stomach is grumbling just writing this. hehe. The first photo is an idea of how I want my chocolate fountain table to look except with milk chocolate of course. I also don't think it will be so elaborate. I don't want it to be too much competition for our cake. Do you think it will be??? tags:

I've went on a huge online ordering frenzy!!!
So I finally ordered a bunch of things for the wedding. I don't have enough time to keep debating!
I ordered the simple Ivory guest book pen and 2 flowers baskets all for $11 each. So cheap! I am going to decorate the guest book with organza scrunched in the middle with a sequined clasp. I have seen it elsewhere and love it! I figured this way is much cheaper than paying $80 for guestbook and pen! I ordered the personalized flutes for $10 and I think they are super cute. I also ordered cake server to go with it. So adorable The fake rose petals I ordered for my 2 flower girls. $3.95 for 200 petals! So much cheaper than real ones! Lastly I finally decided to go ahead and order my aisle runner. I am painting my monogram on it! I can't wait!!! tags:

Gift Registry
Almost done!
Wow I never thought a gift registry would take me so long to do. We have registered at 'The Bay' and 'Linens N Things'. I'm finally done at The Bay and almost done at LnT.
I took Dave with me the first time to register and after that my mom. Dave was a pain in the butt when it came to deciding colors. My mom is awesome. She knows what I'll need and what good brand names are. It has also been great bonding time! I'm glad I'm almost done though. Only 45 sleeps left until the wedding! Yikes! tags:

Cake
Still haven't decided
I absolutely love the first cake since it is sooo different, but I am not sure it will match my wedding. We'll see. Instead of strawberries though I think I would do pink flowers and maybe the ribbon a bit different.
I like #2 as well. It is alot more subtle and my cake wouldn't be exactly like this. It would be a combination of this one and another one which I do not have a photo of. I would have the ribbon look with silver applique on the bottom of each layer and I would buy a monogram cake topper. which should I do??? tags:

Ceremony
Decoration Ideas
I have can't seem to figure out how I'm going to decorate the stage in the ceremony for our wedding.
I know I'm going to have an isle runner with our monogram and flowers or ribbons on the pew, but it is the front I am really worried about. Photo 2 is just an idea I like and the rest are from actual weddings done at our location. The last 2 photos are my favorite from my close friends wedding in October. However I don't want mine to be the same as hers plus I could not do it as extensively as she had it done professionally and it cost her $15,000.00 for decorations in the ceremony and at the reception! I was thinking maybe only 2 tall pillars (as in photo 3) with 2 different colors of fabric hanging down behind? (photo 1,3, or 5) I'm not sure what colors though. My bm dresses are green. So should I have ivory and green hanging or ivory and brown???? And then in between the pillars I will have the unity candle or sand ceremony table. I'm having the signing table to the left with linens on it and possibly a pillar with flowers by it. And the piano and musicians will be in the same spot as well. As in the last photo I will also have fabric draped over the stairs and tealight candles placed on them. Does this sound good everyone? Any ideas or changes?? Will the pillars look dwarfed in front of high hanging fabric? And what coordinating fabric colors for draping??? My bms are green and they will be carrying ivory flowers with a splash of pink. Their shoes are brown sandels. I will be in ivory with various shades of pink in my bouquet and my candle lighter is in a tan with pink and ivory in her bouquet. I love brown and I want it brought in somewhere but I don't want it overwhelming and not looking like it belongs. If I use it for drapping would that be too much??? However I don't want an all green wedding either! ugg! tags:

Invitation
Finally ordered!
We ordered these invitations on Saturday. They should be in by February 29. I'm hoping that it'll be even earlier and definitely not later as I need to get working on them and have them done and out ASAP!
These are simple, but very pretty with the pearl hearts and swirls around the edge! Both my FH and I loved them! Cheap too...I don't see the point in spending tons of money on invitations when on a small budget! I would have made my own but the wedding is coming up fast and I can't be bothered with the time and stress of doing them. Seriously I don't think I would be able to with the pressure I am under working 45+ hours a week and planning a wedding! I would go crazy. Lame thing is I found these online for cheaper than what I purchased them for...but only like $20 so that's comforting. I can't wait until they come in! So pretty, so exciting! I love getting wedding stuff in the mail. I check the mail daily in anticipation. Anyone else do that too?? tags: invitations

Bridesmaids
My girls kick serious butt!
These 4 lovely ladies are my bridesmaids!
Rachel - She has become my lil 'sis' ever since her big sis (& my close gf) died. (RIP Miriam.) We get along awesome even when she acts in her bratty young 17yr old(I'm 21) ways. :P She's definitely one of my best buds <3 I love her to pieces! Talise - My absolute Best Friend 6.5 years! Oh the laughs we've had with and at each other and at others. hahaha. We've been through virtually everything together. Now I'm getting married and she's having a baby a month after my wedding. Big year for both of us. Love this girl so much. I'd do anything for her. Melissa - My longest friend. Known her since Kindergarten. Can't say we've always been great friends since we fought and bickered all the time as kids. (she used to pull my hair and kick and slap and punch me!) Now we get along great. One of my closest friends. I respect her standards, values and advice alot. We have the same tastes, likes and dislikes in almost everything. Works out awesome when wedding planning. Courtney - Most recent friend. We started out disliking each other since her bff tried to steal my bf(now fiance) and my bff(Talise) went out with the guy she liked and later dated! Alls good now though. In the last 2 years we've become extremely close. I dunno what I'd do without her to love and look after! <3 She is seriously just the cutest thing. tags:

Ceremony
Sand Ceremony
So originally I didn't even consider the sand ceremony an option but today I was looking at photos and decided I actually really like it. I think I'm going to use it because I'm not sure I want to do unity candles so this is an awesome alternative. I will talk to my FH about it of course. I think it will be so beautiful and something we can keep forever. Only thing...is it odd to have a sand ceremony inside????? Most of the time it is preformed at outside weddings. Another thing, in the wider vases what do you use instead of a cork stopper?
Here is the sand ceremony. I would do a shortened modified version I believe. ________ and ______ may your love always be as constant as the never-ending waves, flowing endlessly from the depths of the sea. Just as the waters touch and nourish the many shores of the earth, may your love be a moving sea between the shores of your souls. Just as there will never be a morning without the ocean’s flow, there will never be a day without your love for each other. You have just sealed your relationship by the giving and receiving of rings. This beautiful union is symbolized through the combining of these two individual shells of sand. The first shell represents you ______, in all that you were, all that you are, and all that you will ever be, and the other shell represents you ______, in all that you were, all that you are and all that you will ever be. Each one holds its own unique beauty, strength, and character. They can stand on their own and be whole, without need of anything else. However when these two are blended together they create an entirely new and extraordinarily more intricate entity. Each grain of sand brings to the mixture a lasting beauty that forever enriches the combination. Please pour the sand into this common container to symbolize the union of your two lives. This container of sand now represents your new life together, although you are two separate people your lives are now entwined as one. Just as these grains of sand can never be separated and poured again into the individual containers, so will your marriage be a molding of two individual personalities, bonded together forming one heart, one love. The life that each of you experienced now, individually, will hereafter be inseparably united, for the two shall become one. tags:

Home-made Fudge bubbles ![]() ![]() |
Decoration
Favours!
For our wedding favours we have decided to take the cost effective route! I originally had planned expensive elaborate favours for my guests but after I changed my wedding colors they didn't match so I decided to cut down!
I am giving every guest a bottle of bubbles at their place setting for our send off. (I had originally wanted sparklers but we have decided on a late afternoon reception and will be leaving before it is dark.) I am going to make personalized stickers with our monogram to wrap around the bottles and I will possibly tie a ribbon on too. These bubbles will cost me about $60 from www.orientaltrading.com. I'm gonna be ordering them this week. I didn't just wanna give my guests bubbles so I went in search of something else inexpensive. I decided on fudge. Dave's dad makes phenomonial fudge. He is French so that explains it and for awhile he was even selling his fudge. He has a whole bucket of left over chocolate and other goodies so we are getting him to make us chocolate fudge and possibly mocha fudge and we haven't decided on various other possible flavors yet. Free of charge of course! Except for some additional ingredients. I'm wrapping the fudge in celaphane or organza baggies or putting them in decorative boxes. I was also thinking of cuting the fudge in 3 diff size squares and stacking them on top of each other, putting a toothpick through the top and making mini fudge cakes! I'm not sure if I should put a tag with our name and date on it or not since I'm customizing our bubbles. Maybe I should make little tags that say "Thank-you" or something to that effect?? Any cute sayings using the word sweet? hehe tags:

Ceremony Music
What is everyone walking down the isle to? I'm having trouble deciding.
I know I don't wanna walk down to the traditional "here come's the bride" and I don't wanna walk down to a song done with lyrics. And if it has lyrics I just want it to be instrumental. I also know I want to walk down to a different song than my bridesmaids. I know I want to walk down the isle to CLASSICAL! I love Canon in D (Pachebel) and it would be a real tear jerker, but I'm afraid it is too solomn. And kinda long and slow. However it might be good for my bridesmaids. I love Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring, but it is too upbeat (quick) and even if slowed down not tear jerking/serious enough. However I do want it included in my wedding in some way. Possibly for the lighting of the unity candle played on the flute since I played flute for 7years. For the signing of the registry and the pronouncing of husband and wife I am having my bm sing a duet "When God Made You". I love it! I'm not sure what I'm walking up the isle to at the end but possibly the wedding march or Ode to Joy. If anyone has some great ideas for me to walk down the isle to it would be much appreciated!! tags:

Centerpieces...
I want square vases in 2 different heights.
In the low one I'm going to put flowers in it with water and maybe water gel balls. In the tall one I want to have a floating candle with petals in it and maybe rocks or sand at the bottom. Or is that too much? Maybe only rocks or petals not both? However I'm having a hard time finding the tall square vase but the other day I found a tall triangle vase that will look awesome with the square vases! I found them in a little rental shop for like half the price of the other places I looked. Do you think a round floating candle will look funny in a triangle? I held one in it and it looked fine but that isn't the finished product! I have yet to see floating candles in square or triangle vases! Hope it looks ok. I'm going to put the center pieces on either round or square mirrors and place petals, rocks or even coffee beans around them. I may put votive candles around too. If my square vases end up looking funny I will do the same idea but with round which is so much more 'classic'. blah. Let me know what you think or if you have any other great ideas! I'm gonna go back to the store soon and set up the centerpieces so I'll take photos. tags:

Monograms...computers...grrr!
I created a really nice monogram that I've decided to incorporate throught our wedding.
Unfortunately my computer isn't letting me upload the pic properly so all your going to get is a pixelated photo with just the R and the date! It doesn't even show are names that are nicely done on either side!! GRRR I'm buying an aisle runner because I've always wanted one and at the top I'm going to silk screen on our monogram or have it painted depending on time/money! See photo 3 for example of painted on. I'm quite excited. I hadn't originally planned on having a monogram besides putting one on top of our cake (photo 2). I might still use that one in the photo since it's similar to our mongram I made BUT I talked to my wedding cake designer and she said she can make one out of royal icing the exact same as our monogram! Photo 4 has icing monograms on the cake but my designer said she can embellish it with crystals or whatever we decide before the icing hardens! Yippee! Cheaper and more DIY! love it! tags:

Ask a Question
What color tuxes go with brown bm dresses???
Help! I've decided (I think) to go with the brown bm dresses unless a green style jumps out at me really soon.
Now I'm having problems deciding what the groomsmen should wear. Originally I was thinking black but I'm not a big fan of solid black and brown together! And if they wear brown tuxes I think it would be just too much brown. Right? I was considering having Dave (the groom) in chocolate brown tux and his men in a mocha or something a bit darker thanivory tuxes. But is that too much difference? And if I had black would the tuxes look tacky with ivory or mocha shirts and vests underneath and than either an ivory tie or my coordinating color such as pink??? Any ideas and opinions would be nice! tags:

Cake
Some Ideas...which one is your favorite?
I love the first cake alot! It is really unique and would go perfectly with chocolate brown and ivory. My mom thinks it's ugly
I like square cakes but only if they are angled back and forth like the first pic. The octagonal style in photo 2 is neat too. However I will probably end up going with a 3-4 tier cake with icing ribbon going down the side and flowers. Also will have some sort of design on it with fresh flowers on the top and a monogram sticking out. The 3rd and 4th photos kinda give the idea but not quite how I want it. There would be more color of course. On the last pic I put it on because I love the dots on the sides of the cake. simple and classy. Of course my favorite cake is in a wedding planner book so I can't show you all. I've already talked to my baker/decorator. We'll be finalizing the style soon enough. **And I'm changing my wedding color to chocolate because I'm pretty sure I'm going with brown bm dresses unless I find something else in green real fast that I love! tags: cake

Flowers
Uh oh...
Someone gave me these orange gerbera daisies at our engagement party Saturday and I absolutely love them! Do you know how awesome they would look with chocolate brown or green bm dresses?
See the 2nd photo...chocolate brown and orange flowers! hehe 3rd photo - just so you can see what gerbera daisies and carnations look like together. Wrong colors in the picture of course! And without babies breath. See the last photo...green bm dresses with orange and pink flowers! gorgeous! Won't match my wedding dress though so I won't even consider it! tags:

Flowers
Our Bouquets thus far
I met up with my florist last Thursday.
The first one is something similar to what I'd want my bm's to have...color wise anyways (pink and ivory). I think we are going to throw a few roses in the bouquet as well. and do various shades of pink kcforever3....that first one is the one I told you I thought you'd like. The 2nd picture shoes roses and miniture daisies together...of course our bouquets would have gerbera daisies but it gives an idea! However I don't want it so frilly! More formal (If that makes any sense) The 3rd one is similar to how I'd have my bouquet but with more roses and only 2 - 4 daisies as my dress is too fancy for all daisies...I think. It would be mostly roses with daisies instead of daisies with roses. I'm also considering throwing in some carnations. The bouquet would be done in various shades of pink and obviously ivory. Photo 4 I stole from kcforever3. (thanks) I like that idea for my bouquet but with roses and carnations instead of peonies of course! I also love just a simple bouquet of blush roses. Beautiful. tags:

Hair Style
Bride's Hair - Me!!
I'm thinking I want my hair nicely curled, half up and half down.
What I want is a combination of the 2nd and 3rd photo. I want my hair pulled back at the front and piled higher up so you'll be able to see it from the front and it will look good in photos. And I love the back of the 2nd one but of course with more at the top. I like the look of the 1st photo too but the curl is a bit too loose. I have long hair (waist - butt length) and I want it curled tightly enough it only falls to my upper back) bit below my armpits The 4th photo is the one from my gr 12 grad. I loved my hair...and I'll probably use similar curls but I want the front different. I wish I had a photo of the back to show you all. It was gorgeous. I only wish I could have the same person do it for my wedding. <3 RIP Miriam <3 When I find the photo of the back I'll post it. I love the updo as well but I want my hair to be seen. Oh and I'm most likely not wearing a tiera...it would be too much glam with my dress. Just some simple pins or such as in my hair UPDATE: I just came across this last photo! I love it! The best yet! |

Bridesmaids
style and color? Still haven't decided!
I still haven't decided fully on a color or bridesmaid dress.
I'm having trouble finding something in the style and color I want as well as finding something to match for my MoH who is pregnant. Its kinda hard finding all 3 together. I found 2 adorable patterns I might have sewn for the girls if I can find a color I like. I've pretty much decided to x out berry red though. I luv all 3 styles at the side and I'd be happy with any of them. I have to chose my bm dresses in the next 2 weeks as the wedding is only 5 months away! Eek! |

Wedding Dress
Bridesmaid dress colors???
I'm extremely happy with my dress now! I've gotten over the fact that it isn't white and I can't do my old wedding plans. I'm full fledged into new plans.
Still trying to decide on colors though. I have a late spring wedding. What color bridesmaid dresses should I do? I'm think celedon green, chocolate brown, mocha, or berry red. I don't want it too dark and fallish and I don't want it too colorless either! I'm leaning towards green! But 3 outta my 4 bridesmaids say brown or berry red! Any suggestions???? If I do green I need a third color. Would pink look tacky with celedon green and ivory? My BM thinks so but I don't! If Iad brown it would be with pink as well and red...well I have no idea!!! tags:

Ring
Spence Diamonds
I just thought I'd post a coupla photos of my engagement ring. Dave chose it on his own but it is similar to previous rings we had looked at together before. For a wedding band I want to get the band with inset stones the same as the inset ones on the side of my engagement ring. I love it! <3

Wedding Dress
Forever Yours
Hi! I got engaged the end of November. I just bought my wedding dress and it is Ivory with gold embroidary on it. From the very beginning I wanted a white dress but I have a tanned complexion and this ivory dress just looked amazing so I bought it the same day. I loved it the moment I tried it on. Usually I take forever to decide and have to keep going back a 100 times but after going for lunch and than going back to the store I knew I wanted this dress. That is a miracle for me.
But now I'm second guessing everything. I think maybe I need to go back to the store QUICK and try it on again to reassure myself. I was totally ok with that at first until I realized I have to do everything Ivory because having white and ivory is tacky right? I have to use ivory linens and no white flowers or decorations I think. And I was planning on doing everthing very white with color accents so I am totally freaking out!!! ahh. I mean even my cake should be ivory. I'm scared now! what to do? I'm having a spring wedding and I wanted to have white with fun colors and make my wedding fun. Having an ivory dress with gold embroidery to me seems out of season...like I should be getting married in September. I don't know if I can still do my wedding fun and springy or if I have to make it more fancy now to match the dress???? I mean would light green bridesmaid dresses really go? How am I gonna do everything that should be white ivory just so it can match my dress? Ahhh...any suggestions would be helpful. My mom said I could buy a new dress but I've already spent the money and I do love this dress alot! Just my ideal wedding has been totally changed. |
