I have can't seem to figure out how I'm going to decorate the stage in the ceremony for our wedding.
I know I'm going to have an isle runner with our monogram and flowers or ribbons on the pew, but it is the front I am really worried about.
Photo 2 is just an idea I like and the rest are from actual weddings done at our location. The last 2 photos are my favorite from my close friends wedding in October. However I don't want mine to be the same as hers plus I could not do it as extensively as she had it done professionally and it cost her $15,000.00 for decorations in the ceremony and at the reception!
I was thinking maybe only 2 tall pillars (as in photo 3) with 2 different colors of fabric hanging down behind? (photo 1,3, or 5) I'm not sure what colors though. My bm dresses are green. So should I have ivory and green hanging or ivory and brown???? And then in between the pillars I will have the unity candle or sand ceremony table.
I'm having the signing table to the left with linens on it and possibly a pillar with flowers by it. And the piano and musicians will be in the same spot as well. As in the last photo I will also have fabric draped over the stairs and tealight candles placed on them.
Does this sound good everyone? Any ideas or changes?? Will the pillars look dwarfed in front of high hanging fabric? And what coordinating fabric colors for draping??? My bms are green and they will be carrying ivory flowers with a splash of pink. Their shoes are brown sandels. I will be in ivory with various shades of pink in my bouquet and my candle lighter is in a tan with pink and ivory in her bouquet. I love brown and I want it brought in somewhere but I don't want it overwhelming and not looking like it belongs. If I use it for drapping would that be too much??? However I don't want an all green wedding either! ugg!
I like the pillar and drape idea. I don't think the pillars will looked dwarfed as long as the drapes go up high enough that they look like a background. Since your bridemaids dresses are green, i wouldn't use it as one of the drape colors, you don't wan them to blend in too much.Maybe you could add one drape of green in the middle, just not too much. I don't think the brown would be too much if you get a shimmery fabris and soften it with adding ivory with it. I would't add ivory and green though, it might start to look busy. You could add touches of pink to flowers on the pillars. I think it'll look beautiful!
I love the first pic .very elegant. i agree with bekah. you could add a brown strip in the middle i would just make sure you use a light fabric like silk or toil. Sounds very beautiful. Good luck!
