Reception
We are having a chocolate fountain!!!
Dave and I are certainly lucky ducks! One of our contacts from our church owns a professional catering company and he has agreed to do our wedding free of charge!!! We are of course paying for the cost of food! But that is it! No extra charges. He is giving us his time and equipment for free! SOOO nice of him

We are having a fairly simple meal because we are on a tight budget and food is always the biggest expense. I also wanted a chocolate fountain which is about an extra $600 so we needed to cut down elsewhere. I didn't think we were going to be able to have one, so I was so excited when we found a menu option that allowed us to!

Here it is, a served buffet:

Tableside:
assorted rolls and herbed butter

Buffet:

-Wild greens with strawberries, pine nuts, goat cheese (Yum!)
-Sweet pepper and wild rice pilaf
-Herb roasted potatoes
-Fricassee of Summer vegetables
-Slow roasted chicken quarters

(The only thing lacking in this meal is a 2nd meat. If we can afford it we will add roast beef. We'll see)

Sweet Things:
Milk Chocolate Fountain with biscotti, cream puffs and summer fruits.
We are also planning on serving our wedding cake (Carrot!)

Yum Yum Yum!!! My stomach is grumbling just writing this. hehe.

The first photo is an idea of how I want my chocolate fountain table to look except with milk chocolate of course. I also don't think it will be so elaborate. I don't want it to be too much competition for our cake. Do you think it will be???

Your post is making my tummy growl now too!  That sounds like an amazing buffet of food for your guests.

We are having a chocolate fountain also, with fruits and breads and whatnot to dip........I just told FH that you had a pic of a white chocolate fountain and now of course he wants the white chocolate!!

I think that your guests will appreciate that they can have different desserts, because some people don't like cake.  It will also be fun for the kids, if you are having kids at the reception.  I'm looking forward to mine!
