Wedding Invitation
Need some help ladies...
I'm helping a friend with her wedding invitation. The picture posted is what I'm re-creating. She LOVES it and so do I.

Here's the problem...where can I find those flouishes with the box to write in? Some call them journaling boxes others labels. I don't know the proper name but I need to find these cloud looking things and I'm striking out.

I can't even remember where I found this picture!

All of you have helped me (and thousands of others) I'm praying this does the trick this time.

Thank you in advance!!!

I'm Back!
Greetings from the new Mrs!!!
First and foremost thank you for all of your well wishes. Our wedding day was wonderful and I will be posting pictures soon (once I get them).

There really isn't anything that I could complain about or would change. The weather held out for us - it was 65 and partly sunny which allowed us to have our ceremony outside. We had some amazing luck I would have to say. The venue gave us the gold chairs for the reception (you know the ones - I can't think of the name) they were an upgrade ($6 each) that a wedding used the day before and in order to conserve time the venue decided to let us use them! and the outside was decorated so we didn't have to do anything out there! That was a huge help considering we were an 1 hour and 1/2 late getting there. Needless to say we didn't start on time - I think we were almost an hour late - can't remember but it doesn't matter. I made my grand entrance from the second floor balcony, down the winding staircase and across the garden - he was in tears. Our ceremony was short and sweet followed by cocktails and hors d'ouvres in the garden. After that, our guests entered the ballroom where they were greeted with dinner - another upgarde of the evening - filet mignon served with a crab cake and veggies or bronze chicken served in the same manner. We entered the room and danced our 1st dance to "Have I Told You Lately That I Love You" by Rod Stewart - hubby's favorite followed by "Then" by Brad Paisley. He then danced with his mother to "I am You Child" by Barry Manilow and the tears were flowing once more.

The centerpieces and damask overlays were a huge hit. I also made our wedding cake and the topper as well as the cake stand - hubby did the painting.

I wore my gown the whole time and didn't change into the reception wedding dress I bought. I was soo worried leading up to our wedding about not liking my dress so much anymore but let me tell you those feelings flew right out the window when I slipped into it - it was perfect!

We dined, we danced, we laughed, we cried. It was great! Everyone said they had a great time and I believe it because we did too. Surprisingly time didn't fly by. It was almost as if time slowed down for us. All I can say is it was an amazing day, I'm glad the planning madness is over and I'm estatic to be his wife and him my husband. We both feel different but that same - ya know what I mean?

It's great to be back too!! Well, I'm actually out of state for job training. Yes..I finally landed a JOB! (thanks for the prayers!!)

FYI - I will be selling the black ornate pillar candle holders I used for the centerpieces as well as 2 wedding dresses I bought for the reception that I didn't wear. Again, I'll post some pictures.

2 Days to go...
Our Wedding is THIS Saturday!!
It's here! It's here! It's here! Wow...we both can't believe in 2 days we will be Mr. & Mrs. Where does the time go?

With 2 days left to go we're still working hard. I'm still making my Damask overlays and pomanders for the centerpieces. The pillar candle holders I ordered arrived and look awesome! Def worth everyone penny! FH and I didn't go to bed Wednesday night (last night). He's painting the tiered stands for the cake while I've been making the cakes and cup cakes (I'll share photos after the wedding). While the cakes were cooking I worked on our music. We're still listening to songs as I type this. We pretty much figured out what we want but more importantly where we want it. Oh, and I'm trying out the speaker system I bought for my laptop. I have to say we are very impressed with it. We're having so much fun..I love it when great memories are being made!

Oh and I still need to make the programs, seating arrangements, fill the favor boxes, and finish up the memorial table for FH's dad.

I did order a reception dress. I ordered it from an online bridal store. The dress is beautiful and is great quality (I was shocked). I ordered it in 2 different sizes but the larger one (which I thought was going to fit) is waaayyyy to big and the smaller size is too small. Just my luck. I'm going to try and get it altered today. Needless to say I will be selling the smaller size if any one is interested (of course I'll post pictures) and if I can't get the other one altered I'll be selling that one too. I would return them but I paid $75 for 2nd day air and would have to pay a 25% restocking fee plus the shipping for returning them...ouch - not worth it! I don't mind losing a few bucks but not that much.

I pick up my flowers tomorrow (Friday) and I still need to find a cake topper, jordan almonds and a trinket box for the ring bearer other than that we have everything we need (at least we think we do)

Farewell my fellow brides-to-be...Happy planning to you all!!

Wedding Website
I created a wedding website on mywedding.com I also have a web adress that I purchased that's our names (example www.meandhim.com)

How do you link the name website (www.meandhim.com) to the mywedding.com website? This way the guests can just type www.meandhim.com and be brought automatically to the mywedding.com site where they can rsvp and what not.

I know it can be done but I can't remember how to do it...I seem to have lost my notes about this somewhere in the pile of my wedding planning madness.

As always..thanks for your help ladies!!!

Ask a Question
Please vote on centerpiece options!
Ok, with much help from several WBC brides, I've continued my never ending search for a vase, candlestick, pillar candle holder, etc to hold the carnation centerpieces (see picture 2 for flowers). This is what I found.

I need your honest opinions, don't hold back, say it like it is and VOTE for your favorite or suggest a new idea!

Vote for the 1st Picture:

Ornate Candlestick in gloss black. The ones I found are 6.5 inches tall and are very similar to this one looks wise. The height of 6.5 will work - anything taller the guests won't be able to see the person across from them. The one shown in the picture is much taller than the one I found. I'm using a carnation pomander on top like in pic #2 as well as having ivory votive candles around the base of the candlestick. After tax and shipping each one will cost roughly $18.80 Not bad. If I buy these I'm going to follow nueweq03's advice and sell them for half ($9.00 plus whatever the shipping is). It would be great to help out a fellow wbc bride and at least recoupe some of the money too.***FYI ***I'm not using all the items shown in picture number one just a similar candle holder with a carnation pomander on top surrounded by ivory votive candles***

Vote for the 2nd Picture:

In this picture is the carnation pomander in white (that I will be using as well as the ivory votive candles) on top of a glass candlestick. I found something similar - they are $22 each with tax & shipping. In the end they will cost $25.20 each.

Just a FYI -

I'm not 100% on using all white carnations, I might go with yellow - idk - suggestions here would be appreciated too.

The 3rd picture is the black & white damask print that will be under the centerpieces (26in square overlay) which will be on top of ivory linens.

And the 4th picture is the actual room we'll be holding the reception in. Yellow walls and Tiffany Blue ceiling. We will be using the same tables with the same linens with the black & white damask square overlays.

1, 2, 3...let the voting begin!

That's my baby in the picture..isn't he cute?! I have green eyes and FH has light brown - this baby has some dark dark eyes (I guess it's from the photos I uploaded) It's strange that he has blond hair. We both have dark brown/black. But what's even stranger is when FH was a baby he did have blond hair..How this thing knew that is beyond me!

Wedding band
Still searching for a 2nd band
Well, I'm still searching for a 2nd band. My engagement ring came with a band however I would love to have another.

I found the same ring (at least I thought it was the same) at Kay. FH & I went there this weekend. They said that they can order the band but I want to see it 1st to make sure it's the same. They sell the engagement ring and band for $2,999. I only paid $375 for mine. And the engagement ring they have is only 1 1/5 carats, mine is much bigger, the woman there thinks it's close to 2 carats (not including the band) Yikes!!! What a deal!

I don't need the second band for the wedding but I would like to get it soon before I can't.

Our Weekend Getaway
Cape May, NJ
Last Thursday morning FH said that he wanted to get away for the weekend - "Let's go to Cape May babe" - those were his exact words.

We stayed from Friday to Sunday night. We love Cape May which is one of the main reasons we're getting married there. It's so calm and relaxing. It's hard to leave.

This is a picture that I took at Sunset Beach. It was taken on Saturday night at approximately 7:40 PM. This is the only place in New Jersey where you can see the sun set on the beach.
