Mr. & Mrs. 1st Dance

We danced to Shameless by Garth Brooks. It expressed everything that we feel about each other and our love. It meant so much to both of us.

Our first dance was someone untraditional...althout it was a slower song it was reggae....song Sacrifice by Alaine



We played from this moment during dinner.

"Babe" by Styx.

It has a long story behind it... our first date, he spontaneously showed up at my house and asked me to go to the beach (at like, 10:00 at night!) and watch the cruise ships leave the port. My mom allowed this (we were in high school) and once we were there, we shared his iPod headphones... and "Babe" came on.

The song became my ringtone on his phone when I would call.

And then when he proposed to me, he was playing a gig with his band... and we ended the night singing it together. So there was no question it would be our song.

Our first dance will be to "When I Fall In Love" sung by either Doris Day or Nat King Cole. They are both beautiful versions and fits into our 1940s theme perfectly AND the lyrics ring so true even to today:

tiggre99 - How sweet is that!! Not corny at all.  That's the way it's suppose to be (I feel the same way).

I have the same problem as you hotpink - so many songs..not enough time! Memories of us is another great one.

Our first dance was "Then" by Brad Paisley. It was perfect.

Our first song will be "Follow you into the Dark", by Death Cab for Cutie. We were going to do Earth Angel by the Penguins, which was our song when we were first together in high school. But as we grew and matured together Follow you into the Dark suits us more. The songs you guys are posting are beautiful. Music is a wonderful thing!

We keep changing our minds (And have another 16 months to continue to change it!!!!)

We are going to go untraditional as well as we're having a beach wedding. Our top 2 at the moment are Better together by Jack Johnson or You are the Sunshine of my life by Stevie Wonder.

My sister's first dance was to Al Green's Lets Stay Together. Amazing song and lyrics!!! (I'm secretly jealous that she beat me to it!!!)
